    There’s still more to learn in the premium course! To continue your studies on how to draw dynamic creatures go to proko.com/drawingcreatures

    Something I learned is that the most active part of the body is the focal point. If they are stepping forward that foot is leading the weight. If the creature is looking at at a bug to its right, it’s something they are actively thinking of with their brain, very in their head, so their weight will be focused more in the face and upper shoulders. Each creature has a goal. Even so minute. Figure out what that goal was in the moment of that animal and that’s helped me a lot.

      @@natsunoyo glad to hear hopefully my mindset can be similar. Past 3 years of drawings had been no fun. Stress everyday without any improvements. Trying everything I can. My memory can't draw without any reference and it's getting into me frustrating. Just have to endure until I make my goals possible :)

      @@sael5084 if it’s any help, I was watching this video recently and it improved my mindset a bit:
      th-cam.com/video/-th9B2j39UY/w-d-xo.html
      Something he says that stood out to me was to develop a professional mindset - think the way someone doing art or animation as a job would think. Just showing up and producing art is enough. If it’s bad, it doesn’t matter. If it’s good, that doesn’t matter either. The very fact that you created something is worth being proud of.
      I hope things get better for you soon! You’re doing great!! ❤️

      @@natsunoyo I see thanks for the advice. Sadly motivation or passion isn't there anymore. Keep watching art videos but they don't affect my mental at all. Have clinical depression for 4 years now so it's more of a battle within me that I have to deal with. Hopefully I can get rid of it and come out on top :). How I wished art was fun as other artists say it is

    Can anyone think of some good links to some loop video?
    I mean youtube links, the reference vids on the main site looks great & I'll definitely check them out, but I would also like to apply this to humans

    And a question,can I learn to draw animals without knowing their anatomy but by recreating the human anatomy and placing them instead the actual anatomy

    • @chotho4718
      @chotho4718 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Of course not, although we are all mammals, there are still a lot of differences between us, but you can start by learning the anatomy of representative animals first, like dogs for canines, lions for felines, and so on.

    • @sael5084
      @sael5084 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chotho4718 no need for specific anatomy of animals if you make them wear clothes ❤

    • @BEANSBEANSBEANS404
      @BEANSBEANSBEANS404 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm not sure if it's really possible to draw animals without any sort of reference for drawing them, but if you don't want to overwelm yourself with anatomy/muscle structures, you can simplify body shapes down to simple geometric shapes such as circles or lines, which are fundamentally more important when it comes to basics

    just the first minute- studying what the skeleton looks like, and the muscles. That does help SO much when trying to paint an unfamiliar animal. Sometimes fur can distort what is going on underneath for you. Important point to know.
