Aloha! Yes, my dad used to cook this dish but also added fresh garlic to his recipe. Onolicious!
Chili pepper water and little shoyu too
Espectacular, Ty for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching! 😊🤙🏼
Great video. But where did you get the Hawaii out of a staple basic corn beef and fried cabbage recipe.
Aloha & Mahalo for watching! Canned Corned Beef (& SPAM) was introduced by the military during the war & while canned corned beef & Cabbage recipe didn't originate here, the dish took a permanent foothold in our culinary history
@@thesociallyawkwardchef oic. Understandable thanks for sharing 👍
Your videos are excellent! Thank you! I’ve watched a few so far. Which knife are you using to cut the veggies?
Aloha & thanks so much for watching! 🌺 The knife is a Nakiri style & if you wanted to know the specific brand, it's Mcusta Zanmai 😊
@@thesociallyawkwardchef Thank you!!🩵🦋
Just like Mom's!
I want to try this but im not a hugh fan of onions
Aloha! You can omit the onion if you don't care for them, otherwise I'd recommend caremelizing them 1st so they become sweeter 😊🤙🏼
Tell Hugh that onions are HUGE!
