Tales of Symphonia Sheena/Raine Duo: Kratos 1 [No Items/Mania/No Damage]

- In this video, @TailsGt1 (Raine) and I (Sheena) take down Kratos 1 without taking damage. Big thank you to Stoven for grinding this out with me :)

Game Modifications:
-Used encounter editor to fight Kratos
-Set Sheena's ATK to 700 and Raine's INT to 450
-Unlocked Raine's unused artes (Time Stop, Dark Sphere, and Bloody Lance)
Strategy:
We each wrote our strategies from our own perspective, check it out :)
Stoven (Raine): Open with Photon/Dark Sphere. After it pops, cast again and it should go off if Sheena baited Kratos to the corner. Proceed moving to the center of the arena to cast Holy/Bloody Lance twice. Then Cast Photon. If called out correctly, Sheena should be able to knockdown Kratos just as Photon picks them up again, allowing you to get out of endlag and begin casting Photon/Dark Sphere again during the MA bait. 3 things can happen after MA: Can charge Sheena with physicals, Cast Grave on Sheena or free run to Raine, casting Thunder Blade on her. Watch the tell after get up and respond accordingly. If Photon/Dark Sphere pops off, cast Holy/Bloody Lance during the Sheena Loops then cast Time Stop during Kratos OVL. He'll either charge one of you two or cast Thunder Blade on Raine so be prepared. If the former, Cast Photon/Dark Sphere to open him up for Sheena. Loop and he should go down.
Horangi (Sheena):
Two things to note:
-Kratos almost always targets Sheena with Grave and Raine with Thunder Blade
-I'm player 1, so I have a "Get out of jail free card" with Unison Attack
So my job is to keep Kratos occupied and put him into good positions to combo him when Stoven uses Photon/Dark Sphere. At the start of the fight, I jump over his head and hope I don't get caught by Kratos' neutral attack or Fierce Demon Fang. Afterwards, I run towards him in order to grab his aggro. Once the first Photon comes out, I use this opportunity to cast Force Seal. Then, Kratos will either use Grave or run after me. If he runs after me, I simply run to the right and then jump over him. If he uses Grave, I bait out the spell and then jump over him when Dark Sphere casts. Either way, I have to start looping him here. The next two spells are going to be Holy/Bloody Lance. I like to use Serpent Seal Pinion when Raine casts these spells. The Lance spells knock Kratos up, so I should make sure I wait a little bit until he falls back down to start attacking again. After the Lances, it's Shining Bind time. I use two Demon Seals alongside Stoven's Photon (since Photon re-stands) and then run away from the MA. This is also a good timing to re-apply Force Seal.
Now, "phase two" (as we like to call it) starts. At this point, I'm trying to dodge Kratos while also keeping him away from Raine. My job is to follow-up on Photons, Dark Spheres, and Time Stops (usually used to time out overlimit) when I can and start another loop. Unison Attack in this phase is very useful for getting out of sticky situations, as this phase can be very unpredictable. After surviving an overlimit and landing a few more combos, the fight should end.

@@HorangiTiger Yeah! I know that usually a bunch of stuff didn't make it to the games back then.
There was a game called ACS years ago that used some of the unused voice lines, and Lloyd had Cless' Meikuu Zanshouken for example.
@@goldroger8536 Interesting! I know of ACS but I've never played it myself.
@@HorangiTiger I'm not sure if it's worth playing now, but maybe watch a mystic arte exhibition if you have the time.
I'm sure there were a couple more cases like these, Chloe and Senel mystic artes come to mind.

This reminds me of a similar thing I'm doing in the gcn version, just on my own; I'm going through the game with Colette and Sheena together with one always on CPU. There's some fun strategies with having one of the two support the other, and having to micromanage the CPU character. Cool to see Sheena and Raine getting some love!

@Horangi I like both equally but I tend to play Colette more than Sheena since I can trust Sheena to do exactly what I ask of her more often. Colette likes to randomly run in when I have her set to spells, for example

Dark Sphere, Time Stop, and Bloody Lance are all unused spells for Raine that happen to be functional. I unlocked them through the use of Cheat Engine.
There was a simple trick Sheena used to stagger Kratos, she used UNO Reverse Cards all the time. xD Kratos: Imma beat ya now! Sheena: NO U!
Raine and genis duo vs yuan and botta next
I really want to do a Yuan/Botta duo video! Not sure if we're gonna be using Raine/Genis though haha.
Raine always seemed so chunky to me. Like only doing like 3 combo with a normal attack and running so slow. 😅 here she was bussin 🎉

How is it possible to get all the techs together with raine? Okay I mean time stop is not really legit but is there a way to get dark sphere and holy lance together?
