Tom, have you all seen an increase in productivity in your cows since building the new barn and doing these things for them. I think a video about that side of things would be interesting
Tom, the twin rotored Army thing is called a Boeing CH47 Chinook operated by the RAF, at RAF Odiham.

Visited the farm shop yesterday! I was the weirdo grinning who said hello.
With the increase in electricity prices is it worth thinking about some solar to run the farm with the roofing space you should bring in a ton of power.
solar power would be easy enough to power the bubbler and shed lights at a minimum. The only drawback is the setup costs
@@BethSc_VV the setup cost is high but with there being no price cap on business power cost unlike residential properties making monthly costs increase by the thousands the initial setup cost might become viable very soon
@Elizabeth Scott Does the UK not have grants for solar. We do in France, also for insulating. We also have energy caps and nuclear so we seem to be avoiding the cost of living crisis in the UK. Feel for you people.
@@mikewilliams4499 shame the UK government don't have the same sentiment as you. As for solar, I think with the domestic side had one but the government pot "ran out of cash"
@@meghainn2010 it was FITs payments ,the trouble was @ its inception it was 44p per kwh but @ the time a 4kw system was like £15k, when i got mine a couple of years later the rate had reduced to 16p per kwh, all FIT rates are still subject to the annual CPI increase, when FITs finished it was something like 5p per kwh but the cost had dropped to somewhere near £5k, the new SEG (smart export gurantee) are not index linked and the rates are set by the individual electric companys, whereas FITs were set by the Goverment and the Electric Companies had to pay you that rate for 20 years, glad i got into FITs,shame i didnt get in earlier ,as early adopters are now getting 60p per kwh
I love watching cows going out to a field when they haven’t seen it for a long time. They become calf’s and jump about and you can see they love it 🥰
It's a spring harrow
Tom use those old tile pipes as flower planters around your shop. Place female end up and fill with potting soil. They will look amazing and add color.
Robert, my thoughts too! Bet Mom would love the extra flowers. Suggest an inexpensive tube watering system though as it gets tiring to self water, but the farm does get a lot of rain. Besides, the Ging can always reclaim them if he needs them! Tom you are doing an amazing clean up! It will look amazing!

I live next to 800 cow dairy farm.
I haven't seen a live cow this year.
No robots , just foreign milkers and drivers.
£30 a 6 hr shift.
Super clean
Is it a rainwater catchment tank, be handy area for one, and a wee lean to for the power washer and you could have a wash bay for the machinery set up and ready 24/7.
Nail hit squarely on the head there.
I was puzzled, frustrated with the wait to find out, but I think you may have the answer.
Wash water will drain straight Into the slurry.

They've been talking in NI about making car washes do similar for the wash water. So far nothing though, but ya know its only gonna be a matter of time.

You were right Tom to have more room around your slurry tank, machinery is getting bigger so space is a necessity, and you can always extend the muck pit another bay. 👌🏻👍🏻
Had the pleasure of meeting your father and Heidi last week. Unfortunately you weren't back until Sunday, and I didn't have time to pop back. But what a fantastic team you have! Everyone was super friendly, and even when your father was busy dealing with banking, he stopped to say hi! He mentioned there was secret projects ongoing, and I guess this was well underway before you went to Ireland. Look forward to seeing what other developments are in the pipeline.

Interesting project, definitely make life easier for you. The tank really intrigues me what you have buried it for. The implement that you moved not knowing what is was, I think is called a spring tine for breaking up soil for planting.
