Is there a lot of loads round trips for hazmat at the ports? If so how much do those loads pay on average?

Yes there are a-lot of Hazmat loads coming out of the ports. I’m not sure what the rates are.

I heard dray alliance only pays $200-$300 for picking up a container from the port and driving it to a nearby yard in Wilmington AND then picking up another load and driving it to San Bernardino and back to yard
For the San Bernardino round trip they should be paying you minimum $580
And for the Wilmington $240
They aren’t paying well rates at all
At that rate you’ll only be making $1.89/mile , there is no way you’ll be making money. you’ll be better off working as an employee making $32/hour or more

The port rates throughout California is are bad right now. Usually when they market is good I’m making $600-780 a round trip from San Bernardino to the ports and back. Once the market corrects it self things will be better
Now it’s about $300 a round trip. Being local we don’t really go by mileage. Hopefully the rates will go up. Sad thing is the rates are about the same everywhere. I don’t know any companies paying $500 for a round trip.
Hopefully next year rates will go back to normal. Jan and feb will be a slow season for us so by March things should be good.

It all depends on the company you pull for and what the rates are. In todays market with the rates being so low $300-$500.
