How to Calibrate TIME3200 TR200 Surface Roughness Tester Gauge Profilometer

TIME3200 (TR200) handheld portable surface roughness tester (gauge, profilometer) is a very popular model. It is made by Time Group, one of the largest ISO certified testing instrument manufacturers. This video will show you how to calibrate the unit on three different blocks (0.1um, 0.4um, and 3.2um) based on the three cutoff lengths. You don't have to calibrate the unit if the reading against a block is within +-10%, a new unit is usually +-4%.
The block for 0.8mm cutoff length (λ2) can be any roughness between 0.32um to 2.5um.
