Yes, more videos like this. I made chorai bhag, dhal and rice today. I learned the name of the saigan today. My neighbor gave me two stalks and I didn't know how to cook it and its name. Also I tried Aunty Helen's Buss up Shot roti from a previous video and it came out soft and delicious. The "Cookeen" made a difference. Thank you Aunty Helen.
I love the baggie. I do miss that alot. The sigan I never eat but willing to try. Aunty cooks like my mother. Would like to see more video with her cooking.
Everything Helen cooked is perfect for me except that I like chowrai bhaji plain without saltfish. That crispy brown roti was crying out for some kerrygold butter😆😆Congrats to all the winners..I just wish everyone could get a prize..you were all champs👏👏

Three of my favorite dishes. Delicious...dribbling here... aunty Helen is such a great cook... she should do a video on how to make the dry mustard oil anchar ...
As usual you guys entertain us and inspire us to cook things we wouldn't usually make. I'm definitely gonna try the saigan and the chaitayne. My daughter already telling me to try them. Really enjoy seeing auntie Helen cook with her shy decorum.
Not everyone can achieve the effect of getting your viewers to taste the goodness by just watching the video...you can! Excellent job! Your mom is facial expressions are delightful to watch!
I enjoy your videos...My mother in law was the only person who could cook Chorai bhaji for me,I don't know what she put in it or how she would cook it but I never liked chorai bhaji not even my own mother could get me to like it until my mother in law cooked it for me .She passed earlier this year so I know no one will be able to cook it for me now!! I will try aunty Helen's way of cooking it and see if I would eat it still !!
💕🥰 been waiting to say your mommy is “rel nice ova nice” but really she is a sweet loving mom and beautiful. I love her smile and laugh may God bless her and your family 🤲🏼🤍💦💕
Lol - You and my husband de same way lol he love roti and bhagee not dhal and rice lol. By watching your moms cooking I’m going to try to make this bhagee next time my husband and I buy this bhagee .. thankfully all my roti does swell 💜
This video was so interesting. I am coming to T&T for first time next year. I would love to meet some local people to show me the local food scene and local lifestyle. It seems like a beautiful country with so much culture.
Boy let me give you a joke: my husband and I went grocery shopping in the pouring rain and he pick up the exact bhagee your mom had. I don’t really know how to clean it so I leave it to him to do... so Sunday gone I get up and make dhal rice geera chicken and i seasoned some fish for him to fry. So this bhagee on the counter looking at me looking at it.... when my husband wake up I say babes cook the bhagee because I don’t know how to do it... man if I tell you, why de man burn de bhagee!! Your mom is right bhagee need oil. Man my husband bun up meh pot... bhagee come and go and we ain’t get none to eat 😂
Very nice aunty Helen. We put sajan leaves and the drumsticks, peeled and cut up in dhal. Sajan is good for cancer, its Moringa. If our roti dont swell up my mom considers it rawish. So smaller and a little thicker rolled out, no baking powder, flip three times, makes them fluff up everytime. Is chaitain same as breadfruit?
aunty hellen that Bawgi a.k.a calloo r wild but they can be eaten still and even make some good pepper pot soup too ,am from Caribbean myself we use them, also pleaze secure those wild bawgi a.k.a calloo from dogs, am gathering some of your teaching , stay bless aunty Helen your cooking skills r awesome 👍💙💯
This has been my favorite video. Made me laugh and smile. My mom was the best cook. Her sada roti and talkari was amazing. Unfortunately Rhuematoid Arthritis prevents her from cooking but I cherish all the memories I have of her cooking. Watching your mom cook reminded me of my mom. Great video ❤️

Love these recipes, more eating like this will mean more health. I love that these were right in the yard, if we can source food from our own backyards and support local farmers, it can make a real positive difference to the local economy and the health of the population.

I have heard of that type of Bhagi from looking at It,'s Our Life with Danny Persad they in Guyana call everything Bhagi or calaloo but I call real Bhagi by its name but if we dealing with and using Calaloo bush it's labeled as Dasheen bush, but we could make it fry down or to make our real Sunday lunch it will be our Calallo with coconut milk with either Crab, Pigtail or plain, love your Channel Vedesh, Stay Safe
