Due to suction at suction end of the pump, liquid goes inside it. The suction end pressure is kept lower than atmospheric pressure. The boiling point of water depends on pressure i.e. with reduction in pressure, the boiling point also reduces. The pressure at which water will start boiling at particular temperature is called as saturation pressure. In case the pressure at suction end falls below the saturation pressure of the temperature of water then , the water will start boiling and cavitation will commence. NPSH is a concept which is required to reduce the cavitation problem of the pump. In this lecture the following things can be learnt easily
a) Why cavitation occurs in pump and how it damages it
b) Significance of net positive suction head to reduce cavitation
Dr. Amit Mandal
DAMN!! the best explanation I could ever get for NPSH! Thank you so much!!
i wish i had watched it sooner. it really made a clear picture of everything in my mind and i loved it. thankyou SIR.
Wow super class sir .
Your explanation is perfect! Thank you...it's very helpful!
Thank you Amit..
Now I understood reason behind the pump cavitation.
wonderfully explained thank you so much. I think well prepared for my meeting with the clients now.
great explanation for cavitation
Excellent concept.... Thanks sir🙏🙏
The best explanation ever!!!! :')
You are 💥👌 thank you very much
Thank you too!
thank you sir. you are the best. keep helping others.
Good luck
What a amazing explanation sir Superb i really enjoyed.your explanation really inspiring it boost up our interest in engineering ❤️❤️
Nicely explained
excellent explaination of cavitation and NPSH. tq sir
Bundle of thanks sir
Best explanation on cavitation n npsh
Superb explanation Sir
Informative lecture.....
Good explanation. Thank you
Bhalo dada
thank you amit sir for this wonderful and detailed explaination .this is helping me good in my examinatios
Thank you so much sir 🙏🏻.... Great explanation
Thanks
Thank you sir 🙏keep posting videos👍
excellent
Great .
Sir..... Excellenct explanation..I became your fan.....And also subscriber
Small doubt ....Saturation pressure and vapour pressure both are same or different????
For this context Pv is the saturation pressure.
I just loved it
Thank u very much
Can u explain difference between total suction head and npsh plz
atmospheric suction head- total suction head = NPSH
@@Dr.AmitMandal thank you sir,sir can i have ur ph no,i am preparing for meo class 4 exam and i have a few doubts, which i am unable to ask anyone ,can u help me sir
Thanks so much.
Here Pv means the pressure of water at pipe inlet na in NPSH formula?
Pv means the corresponding saturation pressure of water at the corresponding temperature...
thankyou sir 👍👍
Good explanation with good technical value. However please explain slowly ,its very fast.
Thank you so much sir
👌👌👌
Nice explanation sir
Your knowledge is good but better to teach in Hindi. No of viewers will b increase.
Can you turn on automatic translation?
Sir .. Some where i have seen the equation as NPSH =pa devided by ro g -h s -h f -pv devided by ro g
Thank You
great
Could you explain the NPSH for Vertical Suspended Pumps (VS4/ VS5). NPSHA calculation and checking the vendor datasheet/GA from customer point of view.
Tq sir
thanku sir
Centrifugal pump can't create vacuum, it's centrifugal pumps demarit,
We need to provide a primer to create vacuum between water level and inlet of pump is there is negative water pressure.
Wonderful explaination. Thank you Sir.
Please one important question for clarity,
I thought Suction Head = P1/specific weight plus the velocity head therefore in the final equation you'd have Pa/specific weight - gravity head - head loss - vapour head.... So basically the last formula you have but without the velocity head at suction. Please clarify... please
Well understandable and well explained great🔥
Can you open the translation?
The correct term is known as implosion
Vow
Please work on your pronunciation
thank you so much sir
