    I Term Rotation and Absolute Control are mutually exclusive. Recently it was discovered the AC was broken, and after a fix was applied a number of pilots have had wobble issues. It is most likely that AC will be disabled by default for 4.0, as well as I term Rotation. Absolute control will supersede I term Rotation When issues are resolved. Smart Feed Forward should not be used, and will be removed. Smart FF uses the larger of P or F, so it requires significantly higher F (300 - 400) since it's using just F, not F + P. F is setpoint delta--change in stick movement / change in time--multiplied by a scaler and then added to the pidsum. It can be thought of as stick acceleration, the quicker you move the sticks the more F is applied.

      This right here. AC broken turn it off!

    • @Gs3xRfun
      @Gs3xRfun 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      AC must still be broken on whatever hex he is on. With BF3.5.x, wobble central at the end of maneuvers in my experience when you have absolute control on together with iterm_rotation.

      This kind of stuff is exactly why I just use the traditional rate expo and super... Really wish they would let us control the expo break point.

    • @sketchpv3080
      @sketchpv3080 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      AC seems to have a default value of 10 in BF 4.0 RC. Perhaps I should reduce that to 0 as my micros are having weird yaw twitches when I pump the throttle mid turn. I can fly around it, but the twitch is very pronounced and annoying.

    • @kmitchel46725
      @kmitchel46725 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sketchpv3080 The default has been changed in RC 5. Also there was a glitch discovered that would reset the lowpass filters to pt1 instead of biquads...might dblcheck your filtering.

    Now i can fly and even do some basic tricks. Thank you so fricking much. You saved the hobby for me

    • @danieldimitri6133
      @danieldimitri6133 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Imho if you're not using Blackbox notch data to tune filters you're not tuning filters.
      With today's motors you can have a feedback loop from motor output. I also have a plastic frame that I discovered has a 375hz resonance, when I swapped in a fc with 32k gyro and tried it in betaflight it revealed a problem I didn't know I had and it wasn't motor noise related. I had a constant 375hz noise that showed up in the d term. I applied a notch at 375 but it was still there then d term notch.. Dynamic filter did nothing for this so I turned it off and just run another notch around 200hz for motor noise... Big difference but couldn't have done it without Blackbox.

But your vid inspired and I took a methodical approach to tweaking the feed forward and now its the best damn quad I've ever flown. Its like the FC and my brain are in sync. Like its predicting what I'm gonna do. Kinda bat shit crazy the effect it had. Relaxing the I-Term too much are too much Absolute Control made it fly like loose diarrhea. lol. @stingerswarm try thrust linear in cli mode. I run about 0.55. Thrust is squared with rpm this makes the pid loop act differently with different relative motor output values. Usually tpa is used to help but it's far from mathematically correct. Zero out tpa and set thrust linear. Speed controls with current based throttle would also do the same thing but since I'm the only one who thought that's a good idea it doesn't actually exist... So till then thrust linear ftw

  • @grandmaster-grouch
    @grandmaster-grouch 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    [long story reader beware] there’s a known phenomenon in fighter pilots known as “Simulation Lock” where a “ACE” Pilot experiences exactly what you are describing “you like having to correct for something”. The Navy Ace program has identified that “feeling” as a “forced evolution” In military terms it means training your subconscious mind to fathom the now moment in service of a task beyond its natural design. This is critical for focus in execution under extreme stress when piloting a air superiority fighter. Ok for a more simple explanation top pilots have their own “pids” to deal with but in a entirely different level of field. In an attempt to simplify; today’s pilots can tune their crafts on the fly. They have “dumb” AI aiding them kinda like what our flight controllers do but in a global way. Like the war machine is aware is aware of other aircrafts/military asset/target within a operational area of engagement. So when our fighter pilots execute a maneuver they can use all 4 known dimensions (x, y, z, time) available to help determine the best tactic. Think of it as auto “attack maneuvers” for entire squadrons. Dog fights are long gone. It’s now considered more like “football” plays but with aircraft engaged in combat. Ok to bring it back to that “feeling”you speak of. You’ve achieved something that even the best pilots only attain after 6000+ hr of flight (top gun status). Your spacial awareness is far greater than the average person. Now knowing this you should focus on the habits that got you that “feeling” applying it towards other skills is how most “professionals” acquire that status of multi “talented attribute” that all people of influence master. It’s a acquired skill that all athletes try to be very good at. Take it from me; avionics is a fetish of mine. Lol. Why do you think I fpv hella hard. 🤘🍻

    I understand why you like to auto correct. Unlike when we fly, we are constantly making minor corrections to counter the affects on aircraft and helicopters, especially helicopters. Then when you are flying the quad, it licked in, we dont feel we are flying as much as playing a sim. I get it, thats what it is for me at least.
    The new videos awsome, love them keep them coming.

    You are like me last year. I didn't have any flight controller with OSD, so I had a 4min timer with a 2min reserve. Crusing. But that is some slow counting your Frsky gives you.

    Sir, do you use the same rates for your micros/whoops? As you and I have the same expo, I have been following your tuning work closely......had to fly this set up today and it was beautiful. Thanks so much......

    Stingy what's your AUW? I cant decide weather I like 615g ish or 650g. I'm back and forth on that, also you landed on my fav feed forward settings, 100/100/.3

      With a quad that heavy you might as well swap out your current frame for a brick or cinder block...

    • @FPVQuadModz
      @FPVQuadModz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SpikeJonesTheCr0oked it's the same frame, just a lot more battery on the 650g setup. The heavier setup I like that it has more drop when I chop the throttle.
