Pete, I admire you for documenting your journey battling Testicular Cancer! January of 2016 I was diagnosed with Testicular cancer. I was 36 at the time and I had no idea what to expect. I have a lovely wife and three children. I had my left testicle removed and my markers were normal for 4 months when my oncologist told me that my Beta HCG was elevated again and I was going to have to do Chemo. I did 9 weeks of Chemo three hard weeks 5 days of chemo and 6 weeks off ( if you call it that) when I had chemo 2 days. On those days I worked to preserve my leave. I wanted to document my experience but did not do it. I wanted to raise awareness for other men....I was not able to do so. Since then I have had RPLD surgery Jan 18 2017 and my follow up was good! All my markers were normal. I have a tests in a couple of weeks and I prey that everything is still good. You have no idea how proud I am to have found your channel! When one is faced with such scary situations its hard to stay positive but you are! I battled through it and you have too! Thank you for sharing your battle and keep fighting on! I have a great treatment team and it appears that you do as well. My Wife was there by my side the whole time. She is an RN so I am blessed for that as well. You look good bro! You are likely to be killed by many other forces, such as an auto accident, than you are to contract cancer from eating meat. Our bodies are evolved to eat meat. Otherwise, we'd have teeth like cattle. The only reason you can survive as vegan is because meat gave humans the brain power to create the farms to grow the plants from which get your vegan protein. Without meat, you couldn't exist. I can't say that what Pete hocks is particularly healthy and few teens have the genetics to be big body builders. But, it's better than many of the other choices teens make. So, don't condemn Pete for making a trade of what he knows. There is a proper time and place to present your arguments and kicking a guy while he's down is very low theater indeed. So, take it somewhere else.

You're exactly right, Pete. It's all uphill from here. Now is the time to rest. There'll be a few weeks to a few months of wondering if you will always feel horribly fatigued, which is scary. Then things start going back to normal. A year flies by and you realise you are feeling strong and healthy, and it just keeps getting better. I'm 3 years out from chemo. Can't wait to watch your videos in a couple of years time. Now is the time to rest and let your body recover. Well done, you've done an amazing job getting through this.

I finished chemo for stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma 2 years ago, I'm 24 years old now. Your last treatment day is so weird. I only had to go in once every 2 weeks, but my drugs hit me like a fucking freight train 10mins after they started the iv. But that last one, I was sooooo excited to be done! Obviously. Simultaneously though, I know I'm going to feel like absolute shit, so its a weird juxtaposition. So excited to feel like trash. I'm absolutely thrilled you're almost done!! I've been meaning to buy your d4l necklace, and I will when I stop being poor. Keep being an inspiration, and keep killin it man.
My wife was stage 4 and her cancer had spread to her bones. We both went on a ketogenic and extreme nutrition diet. She did heaps of CBD, weekly intravenous vitamin C, apricot seed extract, monthly nutritional blood tests and what looked like almost certain death is now barely visible in her body. We have 2 small kids and not taking chemo and radiation was a hard choice but it was clearly the best choice. So many people were harsh and extremely judgemental to our chosen treatment course....so many people swear by chemo and radiation. I just wanted to let people know there are healthier more effective natural treatments. Even if someone chooses chemo they should immediately change their diet with no wheat, no sugar, no processed foods and get on 50+ vitamins a day and CBD, Vitamin-C IV's. Its the responsible thing to do and not doing the natural way with chemo is simply dangerous and risky.
If I ever have to go through something like this I'm going to look towards you as inspiration, you're an amazing human Pete and I can tell your family loves you so much. I'm not religious but I'll pray for you and send some positive thoughts your way, happy healing. :)

I'm sending positive energy and thoughts your way Pete. I had a cancer scare in my mid-30's but the tumours were benign, thankfully. I do have to keep vigilant and get tested every few years to monitor any re-occurrences. They found a couple more benign tumours this year, in the same spot and removed them. My doctor is confident that, with monitoring, it will be fine. I'll admit that, it feels like a ticking time-bomb for me sometimes. I try to remain optimistic and kick those pessimistic thoughts in the groin. My Sister went through chemo last year for breast cancer. They caught her cancer in the nick of time and, hopefully, it'll never come back. But, over the 6 months of chemo, she was so weak and struggled every single day. Food prep was the most scary part and required scrubbing fruits and vegetables of any contamination that people with normal immune systems take for granted. On a lighter note: My Sister's hair was shorter than I had ever seen it in my life. No joke. I would have burst out laughing if I had not had the thought of losing my sister so prominently in my mind.

I used to "set dates" in my head during chemo, like "I will not feel better until next Thursday, so I have to deal with it". It's kind of like putting attention to the body in a bit of suspended animation for a bit, focus more on positive thinking than physical input. Endure! You are likely to be killed by many other forces, such as an auto accident, than you are to contract cancer from eating meat. Our bodies are evolved to eat meat. Otherwise, we'd have teeth like cattle. The only reason you can survive as vegan is because meat gave humans the brain power to create the farms to grow the plants from which get your vegan protein. Without meat, you couldn't exist. I can't say that what Pete hocks is particularly healthy and few teens have the genetics to be big body builders. But, it's better than many of the other choices teens make. So, don't condemn Pete for making a trade of what he knows. There is a proper time and place to present your arguments and kicking a guy while he's down is very low theater indeed. So, take it somewhere else.

You're exactly right, Pete. It's all uphill from here. Now is the time to rest. There'll be a few weeks to a few months of wondering if you will always feel horribly fatigued, which is scary. Then things start going back to normal. A year flies by and you realise you are feeling strong and healthy, and it just keeps getting better. I'm 3 years out from chemo. Can't wait to watch your videos in a couple of years time. Now is the time to rest and let your body recover. Well done, you've done an amazing job getting through this.

For someone i've never i've met Pete this vlog honestly put me in tears, rest up big guy and the worst is over. I know exactly the feeling you can't describe with chemo, I beat my battle with Lung cancer 6 years ago and it was the lowest point of my life. I think it goes without saying that your followers and subsribers will be here and you should take as much time as you need off of work.

Two completely different situations. The holocaust happened 70 plus years ago. This is a real thing happening to him NOW. And making a joke about it on one of his videos is equivalent to laughing in his face, while he is literally having to put himself through hell to get rid of this terrible illness. I finished chemo for stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma 2 years ago, I'm 24 years old now. Your last treatment day is so weird. I only had to go in once every 2 weeks, but my drugs hit me like a fucking freight train 10mins after they started the iv. But that last one, I was sooooo excited to be done! Obviously. Simultaneously though, I know I'm going to feel like absolute shit, so its a weird juxtaposition. So excited to feel like trash. I'm absolutely thrilled you're almost done!! I've been meaning to buy your d4l necklace, and I will when I stop being poor. Keep being an inspiration, and keep killin it man.
I would never have guessed. He has so much energy and he's so positive all the time. F cancer and keep battling it.
My wife was stage 4 and her cancer had spread to her bones. We both went on a ketogenic and extreme nutrition diet. She did heaps of CBD, weekly intravenous vitamin C, apricot seed extract, monthly nutritional blood tests and what looked like almost certain death is now barely visible in her body. We have 2 small kids and not taking chemo and radiation was a hard choice but it was clearly the best choice. So many people were harsh and extremely judgemental to our chosen treatment course....so many people swear by chemo and radiation. I just wanted to let people know there are healthier more effective natural treatments. Even if someone chooses chemo they should immediately change their diet with no wheat, no sugar, no processed foods and get on 50+ vitamins a day and CBD, Vitamin-C IV's. Its the responsible thing to do and not doing the natural way with chemo is simply dangerous and risky.
If I ever have to go through something like this I'm going to look towards you as inspiration, you're an amazing human Pete and I can tell your family loves you so much. I'm not religious but I'll pray for you and send some positive thoughts your way, happy healing. :)

I had a cancer scare in my mid-30's but the tumours were benign, thankfully. I do have to keep vigilant and get tested every few years to monitor any re-occurrences. They found a couple more benign tumours this year, in the same spot and removed them. My doctor is confident that, with monitoring, it will be fine.
I'll admit that, it feels like a ticking time-bomb for me sometimes. I try to remain optimistic and kick those pessimistic thoughts in the groin.
My Sister went through chemo last year for breast cancer. They caught her cancer in the nick of time and, hopefully, it'll never come back. But, over the 6 months of chemo, she was so weak and struggled every single day. Food prep was the most scary part and required scrubbing fruits and vegetables of any contamination that people with normal immune systems take for granted.
On a lighter note: My Sister's hair was shorter than I had ever seen it in my life. No joke. I would have burst out laughing if I had not had the thought of losing my sister so prominently in my mind.

I used to "set dates" in my head during chemo, like "I will not feel better until next Thursday, so I have to deal with it". It's kind of like putting attention to the body in a bit of suspended animation for a bit, focus more on positive thinking than physical input. Endure! Killing the assassin cells is unpleasant at the very best! Yay for Mom!

Even with medicine my pain level stay around 6/7. Having six surgeries, for my rare skin condition, and having heart failure last year has been difficult at times. You are truly an inspiration.
