Thanks for your great documentary. IMO the Gemballa era started to decline, when the cars of the multi-billion manufacturers started to come more and more near perfect out of the factories. And if that is not enough, they were stuffed with high tech systems for which you needed special equipment to do something with it. That was too much to handle for a 15-20 people company. I worked in the adjacent building to the Gemballa's company and the mechanics used the same canteen as we did. Gemballa was a very kind man who always greeted me friendly on the rare occassions i crossed his ways when going to work.

Gembella's cars were wild simply put. But different, He had has own style that you knew it was him. I really enjoy the Porsche's in the 80s and 90s. You got love the wide wheels that some of them had.
Gemballa was THE ultimate premium car tuner for exclusive sportscars! All kind of brands. Compare to nowadays maybe Mansory! As a Teen I adored those amazin looking cars

Sbarro is way too crazy imo, gemballa is pretty crazy too. I especially like the older cars that are so 80s where everything goes and everyone is on coke
Until I saw this video, I hadn't thought of the name Gemballa for probably 30yrs. The funny thing is, the only one I've ever seen in person was a slant nose, owned by of all people Sir Mix A Lot. As a kid back then, it was one of the coolest cars I had ever seen. They definitely took the lame and boring 911 and made it look a million times better!
