I love this little vwvortex reunion!! It really is incredible how many personalities have come from VWVortex over the years. And always makes me smile when I stumble over ancient posts from you both.

To be honest, it looks like you’ve got no tires 🙊 And its a lil bit to low imho.. but the rims are awesome my man. To finish it up, you’ve got to spray the plastic around the wheel covers and bodem of the doors in red!? 😀
i find it a bit depressing knowing that James drives a freaking TIGUAN! a 2.0 no thrills, slow, boring looking TIGUAN. the guy is all things automative and drives this thing? SMH

I wish I could take a cross-country trip in an Atlas cross sport but I would never lower it that much. I would change the wheels and tires and lower it a bit but never like this.

(Or one of the guys) on the road one day when he had a green Mk2 Jetta TDI with a Techtonics exhaust, and he's like "we're starting this new thing online, calling it Vw Vortex." I still had dial up at the time and I'm like, yeah we'll see how that goes. Still have my account on Vortex, just check in every few years when I buy a new VW. Most recent purchase is a '16 Tiguan, and my wife has a '19 Atlas.
@@JamieOrr kind of, lol. It was the Mk4 platform that really helped push progress because of how mod friendly they were. The dark side of that whole thing was the internet arguing that constantly took place with some guys who just knew better than everybody else.

@@JamieOrr I really liked the way your Atlas turned out...I almost bought one in January but decided on my Arterton R line instead....I liked the atlas but it's much bigger than I need since my wife has a van and 2.0t is more easily tunable to have a higher level of performance while being a bit more fuel efficient when behaving
