Great tutorial but bear in mind these additional points. These springs are side-loaded and are difficult to reinstall even with a workshop compressor. Study the positioning of everything in the video closely before attempting. Note the socket used to lever the strut base forward. This is critical but not mentioned in the video - however it is just about visible. I used this video for a 2008. The driveshaft nut is 35mm (not 34mm, not 36mm) and requires 325Nm (240 lbs ft) to secure

Thank you for your comment! You are absolutely correct, we had to skip this step to reduce the length of the video. The new nut was used as well, behind the scenes. Best Regards, Autodoc Team.
In general, the replacement will be similar, the only thing that may be slightly different is the design features of your car. You can find more detailed information in the technical documentation for the repair of your car. AUTODOC
Thank you for your comment! You do not have to remove the central bolt of the hub, but this is fraught with the fact that when you dismantle the shock absorber, you will pull the driveshaft and pull it out of the gearbox, after which oil will surely flow out of the gearbox. Changing the oil in the box is not a cheap procedure, and it's easier to protect yourself and remove the hub bolt. Best Regards, Autodoc team

Can you adjust the camber with the pinch bolt at the bottom of the shock?
Good video, just a pointer, you didn't stake down the hub nut on reassembly. Hopefully a new nut was used as well?

Can you confirm which way the small notch cut out in the top mount faces please.. outwards. Or inwards towards the engine? Thx
Faces in towards engine
@@Slowmotors123 I though so. Thank you
is it the same procedure on the Peugeot 2008 ?

I did enjoy it, thanks for the tutorial ❤❤
Kill this awful background dross 'music' otherwise an excellent and informative video 👌
I was looking for the other side. The grill doesn't come off on the other side.
Im having this exact issue right now. Found a solution yet?
@@RCS163 Nope but what I heard is that the whole grill has to be pulled off completely to reach and clean the other side. What a drama :(
Onur hocam donanım haber dışında seni burada görmek ne güzel :D Sıkıntı mı vardı süspansiyonlarda
@@Huseyin1422 Hocam selamlar :) Sizin DH nicki neydi? Valla bir ara garç gurç sesleri vardı, bu aralar yok, kafasına göre bazen olabiliyor :)
Please could somone explain what purpose the pin punch serves at 3:17?
Good info, that music was bloody awful though
Can I get away with not undoing the hub nut?
Thank you for your comment!

@@autodocuk thank for your response! Wish I'd seen this before, guess who has dumped gearbox oil over their drive haha
Thanks
I love how he just pulls down the pry bar and the ball joint just comes off, absolute nonsense, most of the time it takes time and numerous hammering.
