Ho trovato questo video per caso e ti faccio i miei complimenti per la cura che hai messo in questo restauro. Questa è vera passione per la meccanica. Fa sempre piacere veder curare un'auto che è di modesto valore ma che ha una storia e significa qualcosa per il suo proprietario. In Italia sono sparite del tutto dalle strade le Ritmo sia benzina che diesel. Il modello diesel era già poco venduto ai tempi non perchè fosse un cattivo motore ma semplicemente perchè era gravato da una supertassa sul bollo di circolazione.. Anch'io ho diverse auto anziane di nessun valore alle quali sono molto affezionato e che spero un giorno di curare come hai fatto tu.
Complimenti per il restauro, si vede che è fatto con grande passione, proprio perché si tratta di un modello con un valore basso sul mercato. Ma certe emozioni e ricordi d'infanzia non hanno prezzo. Anch'io ho un vecchio diesel, una Ford Mondeo del 1993, comprata nuova da mio padre fu poi data in uso a me. Ci tengo molto, la uso tutti i giorni e me la tengo ben stretta. Richiede molto impegno per riparare i vari difetti che sopraggiungono a causa dell'età avanzata ma dà anche molte soddisfazioni guidare una macchina di un'altra epoca. Tanti saluti da Berlino! P.S. We had a 1984 Ritmo D CL with a good engine but a bad body (previous accident damage, and no TUeV in Ireland back then). My Dad bought a 1982 Ritmo 105TC with a bad engine - but good body) and put the engine from the Ritmo D into the 105TC. That was a great car. Your video brings back many happy memories. The 105TC eventually died with rust!
I am happy to hear this! Their biggest problem was the body, the steel used and the rust protection were poor quality, especially on the very first models. It's interesting that you managed to put a diesel engine into a 105 tc, the front part of these models has a little different structural design as I know.

Hello there! You cannot even imagine how much happy memories you brought to me by your video. Such happened that in 1990 my father bought a second hand Diesel CL version , produced in 1983. We kept her up to 1995 but in the meantime we had to do a "restoration" as well. Not as big as you did, but she was stripped down all right enough. Needless to say I started to rebuild her back after restoration and respraying. Finally we brought her back to life, keeping the same original paint( was like coffee with milk colour with black stripes along body sides) and bright brown interior. Them Ritmos ( or Stradas on some markets) had very poor corrosion protection. But I always have a good memories about them because first of all in 1991 at the age of 14 I learnt how to drive in my father's one and secondly they had pretty unique design at the moment of being introduced to the market. You did a great job man!!! Congrats!

No, il primo diesel Ritmo è stato prodotto nel 1980, quello nel video è il 1981, le differenze con il modello del 1980 sono i finestrini laterali più grandi nelle portiere anteriori, i diversi specchietti laterali e l'emblema Fiat che è posto nel paraurti . I modelli precedenti lo avevano sul cofano. Dalla fine del 1982, la prima serie di Ritmo fu sostituita dalla seconda serie fino al 1986.

Comunque la Ritmo in versione diesel uscì nell'ottobre del 1979, quella oggetto del restauro è il primo restyling del 1980-81, riconoscibile dagli specchietti arrotondati anziché di forma trapezoidale
Sì, l'auto è stata importata in Romania intorno al 1990, dove è rimasta fino al 2013 (è stata utilizzata da mio padre fino al 2010). Sto usando ora in Germania, forse un giorno torneremo entrambi 😉

In Italia sono sparite del tutto dalle strade le Ritmo sia benzina che diesel.

She is still fine, I drove it around 12000 km since the video was made. The long drives are mostly for the Ritmo meetings in Italy.

Be careful, this engine can't use B10 diesel( even B7 Diesel... ).
Thank for your advice, actually I wasn't aware of this problem, just have to check if there is any B0 in the gas stations here in Germany.
