BRERA MUSICA - Trio Cygnus | July 2023

Brera Musica is an innovative interdisciplinary project created by the Brera Gallery to explore the relationship between the visual arts and music, integral part of the academic, intellectual and artistic dimension’s development of the artworks at Pinacoteca.
Brera Musica returns in 2023 with 10 new appointments to discover some of the most evocative views of the Pinacoteca di Brera.
From March to December 2023, the musicians of Le Dimore del Quartetto, in dialogue with the curator and art historian Alessandra Montalbetti, will introduce the public to the atmospheres of the pictorial and musical landscapes that are the protagonists of this edition.
July's ensemble is Trio Cygnus, from United Kingdom, who plays the second movement of Trio n. 2 in do minore, op. 66 by F. Mendelssohn.
The artwork from which the quartet takes inspiration is “Veduta della Gazzada" by Bernardo Bellotto.
