This song is perfect for them. Not just because of the name. Season one starts with Archie having a summer fling. That’s not his fault at all. A teacher shouldn’t be having relationships with students but it fits for the summer fling part and the pulled up in the car part. It also fits when Archie is with Veronica he still thinks about Betty. “ Slept next to her but dreamed of you all summer long.” You included the doorstep part. The song is just so perfect for them I am not really sure what to say. You did an amazing job!

Apparently Jughead proposes to Betty next season but to be honest I’m glad that literally confirms Barchie is endgame because there is no way bughead will survive for 2 more seasons. Just a message to the Barchie shippers no matter how many bughead scenes they throw at us, they are intentionally giving us these hints and building it up for an amazing endgame. KJ Apa, Casey Cott, Roberto (the writer), Lochlyn Munroe (Hal Cooper) and many more have confirmed they are all Barchie shippers, Madeline Petsh who plays Cheryl said she wants to see more of it. Bughead shippers (no offence) enjoy your ship while it lasts.
So what i think should happen is barchie should be there together in a couple episodes but it doesnt feel right if bughead breaks up it just doesnt feel right idk
