I have the og figure from when I was a kid collecting. Fun fact, Scratch was originally going to be a little pack in buddy with Nocturno the owl who only appeared in the TMNT mag and Archie comics(in the comics he was a part of the Uncanny Trio with Scarecrow Crow and Hallocat, a black cat). Funny they cancelled the owl and turned Scratch into his own figure. Always wanted that owl lol Also Scratch appears in a GameBoy tmnt game
I never cared for the later in the mutants. Early on, it seemed like mutants came in 3 forms: california cool dude, ninja/samurai/badass, or mad scientist. Once the "human" side of the mutant became themed--this one's a basketball player, this one's a mountie, this one's a prison inmate--it crossed a goofy line for me. Still, very cool to see Scratch updated!

Wonder why it has the chest articulation? The other figures in the Super7 Turtles line don’t have that. I’m not a fan of torso movement, especially ab crunches, as they’re too visually unappealing to be worth the articulation.

Racoon are thieves and bandits, it makes way more sense. I'll have to dig into this guy's bio and see what he's about. I habe no connection with him like most tmnt figures
Nice review. I like the retro look of the Super 7 TMNT, but the lack of articulation and price point have me off Super 7 for the most part. Looks like a great display figure though.
Yeah. They really mess things up with taking away articulation or having articulation that don't do what ots meant to do . He's upset about a ball and chain and mentioned it multiple times showing how upset he is over that and I'm like what about the damn ab crunch lol. That seems more of an issue and gripe to me than a damn ball and chain. That ball and chain does exactly what ball and chains do. They drag as you move. 🤣 so I don't see what they issue is with that.
@@therealunclassified because 90% of "ab" articulation makes figures look horrible. Plus not everything needs 657 points of articulation. The original toy line had 7-8 at most and was fine.
@wesley Agree, I would have zero interest in this line if it had ab crunch, as, like you said, it makes figures look horrendous on a shelf. Even this figure’s chest articulation is unique to this line, and would turn me away from buying as it also detracts from appearance to a lesser degree than ab crunch. But I’m not interested in this character either way.

I actually preferred the plastic chain because it looked more moldable, didn’t just lay there limp. Also looked more cartoony and Playmates-esque.
Should be easily moddable

I could have bought Scratch in a bargin bin at the langley Toy Traders in package for $14 back in 2007. Still kicking myself in the ass for that one.

Scratch was only in the toy line though so Neca wouldn't even be able to make him
There's nothing to beat them to, though? Scratch was only an action figure, not in the cartoon. Neca would have no reason to do it.

Only thing is. Neca breaks s7 don't. You can drop a s7 figure and it's fine. Neca you're shit out of luck.
