  • Making coal mining environmentally friendly while at the same time
investing in the expansion of renewable energies is an important aspect of
    NTPC’s energy policy.
The infrastructure is a 21-km-long and 12-feet wide conveyor belt
corridor, to transport coal from its mines in Barkagaon to Banadag yard
dump adjacent to Hazaribagh railway station, from where coal would be
loaded in wagons for distribution across India.
The coal conveyor belt passes through dense forest areas and takes
concern for the environment and wildlife animals. The infrastructure of the
coal conveyor belt is designed in an elevated pathway so that it would not
affect the pathways of wildlife animals.
For the operators of mining facilities, it is the safest, most reliable, and
cost-effective method of transporting coal and other raw materials from
the perspective of climate protection and energy efficiency.

loading coal into wagons by loaders is not at all efficient economically or environmentally. moreover it takes too much time. they should use over head storage and discharge system for loading wagons.
