yes you can use super multi layers different lanes option in tool pellets for adding more layers and also use sub assembly composer. we will explain the sub assembly composer in next lectures soon

I will appreciate if you please correct my understanding as explained below. Point (codes) : In my opinion Point codes are used to extract the elevation information reported in x-sections. and hence all the point which required to be printed/reported in x-sections shall be coded.! Shapes: The areas required to report volumes in the cut and fill reports, shall be defined during subassembly creation! rest are not required to be defined! Links: i am not clear about the links, but so far i have found that links are used to format the profile presentation. but the part i am not clear about is the decision which lines should be coded and which should not. My whole point is when we are starting the development of new road x-section in civil 3d, how to decide which points, links and shapes must be coded. to get desired results.
