Luke has not been shy about having ADHD and dyslexia. Those two things can sometimes go hand-in-hand with social anxiety. After watching many of these videos I'm thinking that may be what happens with Luke. I think that holding Nicola's hand is a secure and grounding thing that he may help him be more comfortable when facing large crowds. If Nicola is sensitive to that need it is a very loving thing that she offers to him, and it probably helps her feel more secure as well.

Nicola acknowledged his anxiety. Holding hands is definitely one of good gesture to calm down anxiety and I’m happy she offer him that. I noticed that he always looks anxious, fidgeting his fingers when he was left alone in the crowd. I can relate tho
Nicola knows how to comfort and support Luke. I believe that Luke and Nicola understand each other and can finish each other's sentences, too. So cute! This is special; not all friends or couples share such a deep bond and connection.
This tour has been a huge experience for them both and both have had times where they’ve seemed anxious in different places. The hand holding, continuous reassurance and checking in with each other - they have supported each other throughout so beautifully and the bond they share is incredible.
