It is implied that Books have Hearts in Kingdom Hearts. So, when you create a Digital copy of a Book, you also copy the Memories and the "Heart" of the Book and characters in the Book. This is also explained by Diz ( Ansem the Wise) when he speak about how he created the people of the Digital Twilight by copying the Real Hearts of its citizens. Which is why the Hayner Gang feel like they know Sora, because the Digital Versions of them know Roxas. And the Digital Copies and Real People become connected. This make the digital copies more that their 1's and 0's. Hmm. I wonder why Jimmy's Journal chose Data Riku to become the Journal itself? and oh, the Journal is directly compared to the Book of Prophecies. Interesting....
