The albino version makes me remember a character in Ice Age 3 named "Rudy" But without sail

nice, but I’m more into scientifically accurate detailing, unless from the original Jurassic Park, I might get this figure since I enjoy JP3 than any of the jurassic world.
Another great review---especially comparing the new Spinosaurus to all the other versions. I wasn't planning on getting the new Spinosaurus because I'm not a fan of the JPIII movie, but the new version looks great and is getting very good reviews, so maybe I'll get it.

Question - one thing I'd love to hear more about in your reviews is about the material used: fragility, flexibility weight, etc.
Like I know Papo will never chip or snap, but DinoDream is extremely light and brittle. The material and durability weighs heavily in my ability to commit to a purchase, so I'd love to hear/see more on that. Thank you!
Same! I stopped buying the ‘statues’ after the Carnotaurus 2.0 was very brittle compared to the previous stuff. The dynamic figures really have my attention right now….but if this is durable enough, I would pick it up.

Great review. I have the older W-Dragon which I just love. It's a beast!! I think I am good. Save my money for another purchase.

Can't choose between the screen accurate version and the albino, they are both gorgeous 😅
while I'm digging these new Spinos, I'm actually far more excited for the upcoming Ranger 2.0 figures since we get 2 different variations of The Demon. judging on just the images, I think the paint jobs might be slightly different which I hope ends up being the case since it would be awesome to have 2 similar but different variations of the Demon based on the OG Kenner female style and the cracked horn JW-FK/Dominion male style.
The albino one is my favorite!

Ok I know this is unrelated, but we’re getting another baryonyx in the Hammond collection, and it’s not grim or limbo, it’s the Jurassic world website version, but they code-named it as irritator, which seemed very odd at the time, but it all makes sense now, I’m still wondering why they didn’t code-name it something like spinosaurus or suchomimus instead… unless… spinosaurus and suchomimus are also planned for the Hammond collection… but anyways I’m actually extremely disappointed, baryonyx has been my favourite dinosaur for a long time now, and I love the paleo accurate/real life one way more than the Jurassic world one, but I would have much preferred an actual irritator, we don’t need another Hammond collection bary, even if it’s a completely different sculpt and looks very different from the original one, it’s just something we didn’t need, though it’s still my most anticipated figure for 2023, even though it isn’t what I expected, I’m hoping they don’t do what they did with the amber collection but instead just spam baryonyxes, seemed like we were getting a new species, but no, just baryonyx again, Mattel really seems to be a big fan of the baryonyx, they always try to include at least one in every single line, which usually they just make one or two then throw away the sculpt, only reason we didn’t get one in the dominion line is because they screwed up the mechanical arm one, but trust me, it’ll be back soon, honestly they’ll probably just do a bunch of spinosaurids like icthyovenator, siamosaurus, etc, but no, it’s just an excuse to make more baryonyx 😂

1.) you’re the best dino reviewer by far
2.) I’m confused, I really believed that the 2019 W-Dragon would be better and more accurate to the JP3 spino than this new Nanmu version by far. I realise that the reality isn’t exactly what I expected.
3.) the painting of this new version is more accurate than the 2019 older W-Dragon spino, but the model of the W-Dragon one is still better and bulkier. I’m not sure if I should replace my spino W-Dragon figurine by this one, there is a real debate.
4.) this is the first time that a Nanmu large carnivore could be better than a W-Dragon large carnivore!
5.) Conclusion... I will not replace my old spino by this one, because even if the painting is important, the model still remains the most important thing

Does this model have the same “soft breakable parts” as the limited or no?
This version definitely seems a lot more durable than the limited version. This is made of the same type of material your average nanmu release is made of. The Limited version feels more like resin which I'm pretty sure is what it's made of.
Thank you for the reply! Do you own the Limited yourself? They’re all sold out everywhere! I missed out on the preorders & I’ve been waiting ever since the prototypes came out. Landelshop or whatever they are called announced the preorders 2 WEEKS after they’ve been up. So all the limiteds sold out. I’ve searched everywhere & am so distraught. I’m trying to find a reseller I can buy from
