Heifer International might be an option for your class. There are several animals available to donate to families to help them support themselves.
I love your new song (i use it in my videos as well)but i agree that your “old song” was definitely you! love the classroom setup videos…keep them coming!

We use "Duck Out" passes with a picture of a rubber duck on it at our school! Those are like gold!

Just and idea with your bookshelf if it does start to bother you. You could have the non fiction to continue on the top rolls (on the middle two shelves) and have the fiction books on the bottom rolls.
Your room is looking great as always! I liked your old song - it was your trademark song and just fit you well! Regardless of the song, I will watch your videos so do what's best or easiest for you!
For I can statements you could have it say "today we want to say" since the goal is to say the I can statement by the end of the day/lesson
Using the WWF adoption plush as a book buddy is an amazing idea... I'm going to run this by my director and see if I can do it with my preschool class!

I have my kids bring in a mixture of coins for our money unit. then they can use real coins to learn to count them. At the end of the unit, I sent a letter home asking parents if they would be willing to donate them to adopt an animal from WWF ( this coincides well with our endangered animal research unit) they have to combine their coins with their teammates and find two ways to count their coins altogether. Then we discuss how to find the total of all the coins in our class. I make up any difference needed to adopt an animal.. They love it and integrates so well! ❤️
I like the new song choice. I follow a lot of people who use the other one and the vocals always tripped me up. Where do you keep your actual plans for all the subjects then? Are they digital? Loving how it's looking!

Are you going to do a full walkthrough? I love seeing everything. First day of school / week of school lesson plans? I can’t wait! You start before me so I can get some ideas hopefully
If it does bother you about the book bin colors, you could always mix the dark and light blue and just change the labels. One side can remain nonfiction and the other fiction. And you still can have the mixed colors. Just a thought.

Thank you!! Anytime the whole class earns a compliment instead of just one student. Might be from another teacher or admin in the hall, sometimes they get a compliment from the specials teacher, or from me if they all follow expectations during transitions or work well together during an activity. So many ways!

Where are your small bookshelves from? I got some from Walmart, but don't like that the book bins only fit on two shelves. I have the same bins as you and I would like to fit bins on three shelves 😫 otherwise it looks weird with a little space only big enough for books laying flat. Please and thank you 🙏
