Ibuki-yama hiking | 4k

Ibuki-yama (伊吹山) is a 1,377m-high mountain on the border between Gifu and Shiga prefecture. It is one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan. Mount Ibuki is popular with hikers for the beautiful views over the surrounding towns and Lake Biwa, as well as the variety of wildflowers on the mountain. There are two options to reach the summit: 1) starting from Ueno, Maibara the ascend takes around 3 hours. 2) By Ibukiyama driveway, a tollroad, the terrace just 100m below the summit can be accessed by car. From there it takes around 20 minutes to the summit.
