As guests at Chateau de Lalande, we enjoyed breakfast on Spode dinnerware, explored the beautiful estate with its rivers and lake, visited a brocante in Le Chatre, and wandered through the charming town.
That’s was a very relaxing journey around La Lande and the town. Nice to see it from another perspective. Very interesting and very jealous 😉 enjoy your time in France. Lynda in Tasmania 👍🙂🥰
Great footage! You have a beautiful eye for photography. I loved the walk around Lalande, exploring the Chateau grounds and seeing the surrounding area, wow thank you that was a treat. Just goes to show the beauty and magic is not only at Lalande, but it is all around Lalande too. Were you able to see Stephanie and Phillip?
It’s great to see another’s perspective on the chateau. It looks like a relaxing environment with lots of nature to walk in. I’m surprised I haven’t seen them using the plentiful of chestnuts for roasting or in their dishes, maybe they are the unedible ones.
the old time strainer will never mashed up,great find, the plastic ones don't last to long that one looks strong just a bit of clean up thanks for the out door aadventure
❤ very nice how lovely you got to see it up close. They should cover the old well up as animals will fall down n not be able to get back out. Bet it was a nice experience good for you!
Hello! You had a wonderful breakfast and a beautiful walk ! .Isn't France lovely? I was concerned about you when you were delayed in Belgium. I hope that you will keep an eye on the news from Brussels or wherever you are travelling in or out of. There is unrest there..which is why you got so many conflicting instructions frm the railway staff.. I know it is hard when you are travelling to keep up with news. The USA State department issue travel advisories online and Stephanie may have access to news. Enjoy the beautiful countryside and La lande. Stephanie has put so much effort into that massive project. Enjoy the rest of your trip ! Blessings from an English gal with a house south of la lande.
Thanks for the kind words, and yes you're right, when one is on holiday, you tend to forget about the unrest in the world and travel. I will keep my ears to the ground in the future. kind regards.
lovely relaxing moments there. I wonder if Phillip would help your vlog on your walk? This would be so cool. Stepanie talking and walking with the two of you also.
WOW - I knew the town was quiet but didn’t think it was such a ghost town with no people and only old buildings that are crumbling. Everything looks like it’s covered in dirty and not welcoming at all. la Lande itself seems super quiet too like a forgotten corner with barely there amenities, which leads me to the question of whether or not you think the long trip to get there and the high cost to stay is worth it or not??
Wow, another vlog. We are so enjoying your travels. Fantastic photography, were you only using your phones?? Your footage was very interesting & looking forward to seeing your Italian adventure. 😊 🤗
You two are so cute, I love your exploring the Chateau grounds. I’ve never seen the space that you are staying in. It looks very modern compared to all the guest rooms that Stephanie regularly shows, where is that apartment located?
@ thank you so much for answering me! I didn’t realize they let out private apartments. Michael changed out the dining table. I would love to visit Lalande, after watching the vlogs you feel like they are old friends!
A I very much enjoyed your vlog such a different aspect of La Lande that we don’t usually see, especially the Apartment I wonder where this situated we usually only see the period rooms. Hope you had a great time. Well filmed.🍷🇬🇧🇬🇧
They were staying in Michael Pott's studio apartment. It's called The Tack Room because it was accommodation for the grooms and located in the 19th century wing of the chateau. Regular viewers know it well because it has been featured or mentioned regularly for one reason or another.
Bonjour hello once again I absolutely loved your walk around Lalande you took us to places I haven’t seen the boat ramp is so charming and yes what a joy when the boat pulls in jumping onboard and touring the lake😍👌The brocantes had my attention I love the looking to see what can be salvaged the historic pieces just fabulous I enjoyed your filming you both compliment each other seeing the town through your eyes special and ending the day with a show of your treasures with cheese and sausage perfecto I cant wait to see your adventures in Italy enchante keep up the great filming💖💖👌🌟

Thanks for taking us along on your wander, from Richmond Virginia. It was a lovely Sunday morning treat.
Loving your vlog! Also your perspective of life at Lalande ! Many thanks from Canada!
Thanks guys. Lots of vignettes and perspectives of Lalande that we don't see... plus the sheep, which have sadly been absent from the latest vlogs.
It was fun to go brocaniting with you two and visit the villages! Thanks for taking us!

New subscriber from a Bison Ranch in rural central Nebraska USA . Enjoyed the video!
What great fun! Have you made a butter mold yet? Nice purchase! Thank you, for taking us along on your adventure!
Not as yet, I have yet to find a great recipe, but I will....
@@Letsseewherethistakesus Good for you! Loved your copper cup and strainer, they'll come up beautifully when cleaned and polished.
I like your perspectives!
the old time strainer will never mashed up,great find, the plastic ones don't last to long that one looks strong just a bit of clean up thanks for the out door aadventure

Loved your rendition of La Lande
Thank you⚘️ Aqui do Brasil é sempra ver Lalande por outros olhos. Quero muito conhecer esse lugar de gente Encantada.🇧🇷💛💚💙
It’s funny you show us a whole different perspective. I’ve watched Stephanie’s channel since she started.
❤ very nice how lovely you got to see it up close. They should cover the old well up as animals will fall down n not be able to get back out. Bet it was a nice experience good for you!
What a lovely exploration of Lalande and the surrounding area…. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing little more around Lalande
Great video of the area
Thank u so much for sharing your Holiday with us .
Y’all are so cute!
A delightful vlog ! (Nice showcase for CD).
Nice in seeing area's that aren't shown, nice.
Found you through LaLande! xoL
That ruin looks like an old mill house and bakery
I think the grounds to the chateau are actually more beautiful than the chateau itself.

Very nice video ❣️
I believe a long while back on one of Stephanie's video's she said that was an old bread house/oven
lovely relaxing moments there. I wonder if Phillip would help your vlog on your walk? This would be so cool. Stepanie talking and walking with the two of you also.
that would be special wouldn't it?

Ha. I am very very amateur. Its just my iPhone.
Loved your video, but as someone who can not stand hearing the sound of people chewing, having to listen to the last bit at the end was torture
Hello! @When were you there? I was there the third weekend in October. I really fell in love with the area. Thanks for the video.
Ah would have loved to have met you then. Isn't Lalande splendid ❤ ?
It really is magical and the occupants so lovely!
Your video is delightful. Could you share the date you were there visiting.
This is October 2024. I am slowly uploading our Europe trip. A lot more to come.❤
The ruin is the old water mill.. there's a vlog including Selmar about it.
I believe the ruin you found is the old mill house
You two are so cute, I love your exploring the Chateau grounds. I’ve never seen the space that you are staying in. It looks very modern compared to all the guest rooms that Stephanie regularly shows, where is that apartment located?
This is Michael Potts apartment. We stayed for over a week. We didn't want to leave...
@ thank you so much for answering me! I didn’t realize they let out private apartments. Michael changed out the dining table. I would love to visit Lalande, after watching the vlogs you feel like they are old friends!
The metal cup looks like the one Stephanie used on the train when she was in Scotland. I think it is called a quaich.
Not sure but I think the 'old ruin' was a mill.. so the water would need to get there.
Love.
Which room did you stay in?
I believe that ruin you found was the old mill. There were a couple exploration vids there though it might have been close to two years ago.
Maybe I should have waited til the end of you vid to comment in case you found your answer while there.
@@tpdoolin8445 your right!
The old ruin was a mill for the property.
Another awesome video. We’re you able to enjoy the evening meal with Stephanie and Phillip?
Yes, and Marie is an absolute chef 💋
Do you have the name and address of the brocante? Thanks.
What a great adventure! When did you go? This seems to be in the fall ??
Yes we did, in the fall...
Do u have the evening meals at the chateau ?
You look like Michael Potts' relative.

Lovely.. but I found the music made the dialogue hard to hear as your husband has a soft voice.
Did you see inside the chapel?
We sure did. I took a few photos, to which we were allowed to do. I'll show that in upcoming episodes.
