- As guests at Chateau de Lalande, we enjoyed breakfast on Spode dinnerware, explored the beautiful estate with its rivers and lake, visited a brocante in Le Chatre, and wandered through the charming town.

It’s great to see another’s perspective on the chateau. It looks like a relaxing environment with lots of nature to walk in. I’m surprised I haven’t seen them using the plentiful of chestnuts for roasting or in their dishes, maybe they are the unedible ones.

the old time strainer will never mashed up,great find,the plastic ones don't last to long that one looks strong just a bit of clean up thanks for the out door aadventure

I think the grounds to the chateau are actually more beautiful than the chateau itself.
Hello! You had a wonderful breakfast and a beautiful walk ! .Isn't France lovely? I was concerned about you when you were delayed in Belgium. I hope that you will keep an eye on the news from Brussels or wherever you are travelling in or out of. There is unrest there..which is why you got so many conflicting instructions frm the railway staff.. I know it is hard when you are travelling to keep up with news. The USA State department issue travel advisories online and Stephanie may have access to news. Enjoy the beautiful countryside and La lande. Stephanie has put so much effort into that massive project. Enjoy the rest of your trip ! Blessings from an English gal with a house south of la lande.

WOW - I knew the town was quiet but didn’t think it was such a ghost town with no people and only old buildings that are crumbling. Everything looks like it’s covered in dirty and not welcoming at all. la Lande itself seems super quiet too like a forgotten corner with barely there amenities, which leads me to the question of whether or not you think the long trip to get there and the high cost to stay is worth it or not??

This is Michael Potts apartment. We stayed for over a week. We didn't want to leave...
@ thank you so much for answering me! I didn’t realize they let out private apartments. Michael changed out the dining table. I would love to visit Lalande, after watching the vlogs you feel like they are old friends!
The metal cup looks like the one Stephanie used on the train when she was in Scotland. I think it is called a quaich.
Not sure but I think the 'old ruin' was a mill.. so the water would need to get there.

I believe that ruin you found was the old mill. There were a couple exploration vids there though it might have been close to two years ago.

They were staying in Michael Pott's studio apartment. It's called The Tack Room because it was accommodation for the grooms and located in the 19th century wing of the chateau.
Regular viewers know it well because it has been featured or mentioned regularly for one reason or another.

Bonjour hello once again I absolutely loved your walk around Lalande you took us to places I haven’t seen the boat ramp is so charming and yes what a joy when the boat pulls in jumping onboard and touring the lake😍👌The brocantes had my attention I love the looking to see what can be salvaged the historic pieces just fabulous I enjoyed your filming you both compliment each other seeing the town through your eyes special and ending the day with a show of your treasures with cheese and sausage perfecto I cant wait to see your adventures in Italy enchante keep up the great filming💖💖👌🌟
