Thank you so much for giving water to those who need it and now we are asking for water for our beautiful lake Mead and Powell. I'm sure you've heard of us here in California and Nevada we are dying very quickly and we definitely need water to help keep the animals and people alive here in our beautiful States thank you so much
Wow! That's something I'd like to see, locks and dam working. I've seen a smaller one for barges one wide. I don't like that, it scares the fish away. On the big river it seems to attract fish though, especially wing dams and the backwaters. I hope to see more of it, lots to see along it's shore's.
I remember the 2016 floods that was crazy it rained for three days straight and i barely saw my mom awake she worked nights at a shelter i think she worked at two shelters one on LSU campus and the rest of the time at a red cross shelter in the downtown river center(i live in Baton Rouge)
@@jazrobean1 Uh what are you talking about? She didn't do it to get away she did it because she was literally a MA with paperwork and management skills she actually helped resuscitate this old lady that collapsed in the bathroom.
In the modern world of motorized vessels and a system of locks and dams, whirlpools are more a creature of myths and legend. Eddy walls still exist and can have hazardous effects upon commercial navigation. Today in the modern world lockage during high water conditions would probably rank the highest/greatest danger to safe navigation of the Mississippi River.
TH-cam's algorithm is so fucked I looked up history documentary 3 times was all about slavery I know it's part of the past but that's depressing just wanna know something I can use in the future

What about whirlpools, how dangerous to navigation are they?
