I've been admiring the tree designs, since I saw some in one of your unloadings.

Thanks Matt, another great example of your incredible talent. I do slip trailing but always on leather hard because of pealing. Nice to know I can take pot to bite dry, crackle enhances the texture.

    Hey Matt,
I just found your channel and subbed, you offer a very informal channel with a very informative message as you take the time to break down why and what you are creating. May i dare say a Bob Ross type demo :) Anyway keep up the great content and thank you sir!!

Are your slips deflocculated at all?

Nice little leaves, do you get problems with air in the bottle?

Do you know under what conditions would the slip flake off?

You do it on bone dry? How does the slip not peel away? Mine did 😕

Oh - was it because you’re doing a wood firing? Not an electric firing?

It all depends on the clay and glaze fit. They may shrink too differently to do it bone dry with some clays and slips. Usually a more open clay body with some grog will be more forgiving to slip work on dry pots in my experience.
