It all depends on the clay and glaze fit. They may shrink too differently to do it bone dry with some clays and slips. Usually a more open clay body with some grog will be more forgiving to slip work on dry pots in my experience.

Are your slips deflocculated at all?
Nice little leaves, do you get problems with air in the bottle?
Do you know under what conditions would the slip flake off?
You do it on bone dry? How does the slip not peel away? Mine did 😕
Oh - was it because you’re doing a wood firing? Not an electric firing?
