    Screaming, music writer - Muhgal, famous for songwriting for Shakira, Ne-Yo, Asher and other artists.
    It's hard not to notice that this performance by Dimash is a reference to one of his favorite performers, Michael Jackson.
    And the dancers who appear like zombies from "Thriller", and special effects, and the style of dress, and shout.
    The world is gaining a new super-star! Dimash purposefully follows this road towards his goal and he will certainly achieve it.
    Unlimited range, unique timbre, excellent artistry, charm and at the same time incredible modesty, openness, integrity of character, great love for music and his country - such an idol will make this world a better place.
    We can be proud that we live at the same time and can enjoy real art with a capital letter!

    He is rapping in kazakh. This song is super fun at his concerts because it is something the audience can actually sing along with. And he can take it easy an play around. Usually he jumps off the stage during this song and goes to mingle with the audience (to the great dismay of his security) 😬 👍

We are tirelessly voting for him on twitter, which has resulted in Dimash's qairam elim MV and SOS (concert video) being showed on MTV fridaylivestream with Kevan Kenney. He started on 5th place of most requested foreign artists and we now have gotten him on 3rd place. We will not be stopping until he's on 1st place! ♥️

    It definitely is an "easy" song for him. But it's fun and playful and young as he is and people are able to sing with him easily. He uses this song in the end of his concerts to thank his band and dancers and background singers as well as often jumping off stage and walk and run through the audience. So Dears love the song as there is a good chance to actually shake his hand if you are in the front.

    I agree with every one of the comments you made in this review. I've made an uneasy peace with this song, mostly because it gives Dimash a nice vocal rest at the end of his live concerts when he jumps off the stage, runs around the stadium, shakes hands with his audience, invites them to sing along with him, and introduces all the band members. Seriously, he does all that while singing "Screaming", which usually lasts about 15 minutes. Obviously he couldn't do all of that while singing something like Daybreak. :-) Other than that, I wouldn't be mad if vocal coaches didn't react to or analyze this song.

  • @ju1ietta
    @ju1ietta 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Yes, this is a simple song, but it shows the audience the variety of Dimash's vocal talents. This is another facet of his singing talent that sparkles under our spotlight. And a million of all facets of his talent make Dimash shine like the Sun!
    And now a little less pathos;)
    This is a really structurally simple song that Dimash sings at his recitals as a closing performance for more than 20 minutes (!). At this time, he enters into interactive contact with the public (goes to the hall, between the rows, communicates with the fans), and also introduces the audience to his musical team, interspersed with a huge variety of improvisations. It is the prostate of this song that allows him to do these incredible things, being pretty tired after a two-hour vocal marathon. :)
    /////////////////////////////
    Да, это простая песня, но она показывает зрителям разнообразие вокальных талантов Димаша. Это ещё одна грань его певческого таланта, которая сверкает под прожектором нашего внимания. А миллион всех граней его таланта заставляют Димаша сиять подобно Солнцу!
    А теперь чуть меньше патетики ;)
    Это действительно структурно простая песня, которую Димаш поёт на своих сольных концертах в качестве завершающего номера на протяжении более чем 20 минут(!). В это время он входит в интерактивный контакт с публикой (идёт в зал, между рядами, общается с фанатами), а также представляет публике его музыкальную команду, вкрапляя огромное количество разнообразных импровизаций. Именно простата этой песни позволяет ему делать эти невероятные штуки, будучи изрядно уставшим после двухчасового вокального марафона. :)

    You stopped before the end!! In order to be able to rap fast he rapped in his native language of Kazakh. If you turn on your CC caption button you will get the translation of what he said about his countrymen during the rap. This was a music show in China that invited him on to perform. There is the original music video of Screaming where he even did a track of backup singing and one of playing the drums and piano. He only changed the song to include the rapping & audience interaction for this performance. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

    👍This is a pop song and should make Dimash better known in English-speaking countries. The rap part is in Kazakh (English subtitles). This song has been rearranged for the stage. First, 2 years ago, the MV was made (you should check it out). Dimash sings the backing vocals, plays the piano and drums in the music video. This song is on his album 'iD'. The album was certified platinum in 37 seconds, 3 x platinum in 47 minutes and 5 x platinum on the first day in China (album platinum: 200,000 units, single platinum: 400,000 units).

    👍👍👍🌷🌷🌷🌷 So, Dimash first released Screaming as a MV, where he beautifully demonstrates his high notes at the end and as his own background singer. But for this particular performance, -and I base these comments on a clip of how he discussed the development of this version with the Chinese team- he incorporated three separate ethnic elements as well as the rap, which incidentally was in Kazakh.
    Yes, he did scream out, “Sing!” He often does that at his concerts, asking us to sing along. Or, he would shout, “Only you!” And point the microphone at the audience. And we would oblige him and scream our hearts out, totally forgetting all vocal teachings and just enjoying the our pleasure of singing with Dimash! 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
    By the way, Dimash recently announced that he has just collaborated with Igor Krutoy on a new song.....!!!!💕💕💕 Waiting for it impatiently!

    You are absolutely right that pop style doesn't shows much of Dimash's vocal abilities, but you know, we live in a pop music world and especially in the concert he has to catch the attention of all people, it doesn't matter what style of music they love. This is his own song and of course he put his Dimash's taste in it. You have to listen the MV of this song. It's different and it's much more Dimash. 😉☺️ It's really phenomenal.

    If you ever go to one of his concerts, you will hear every genre, every type. He doesn’t limit himself to popera or neoclassic; a lot of those easier songs give him a vocal rest between the more demanding ones. He also is a big fan of Michael Jackson and does a few MK’s types of songs (not my favorites, but hey, that’s his choice right? ). I think that in a way, this whole Covid has helped Dimash be known in the USA because more people spent more time on TH-cam, a lot of reactors discovered Dimash and it has increased his subscribers on his TH-cam channel to almost 1 million now (Chinese fans do not have acccess to TH-cam).

    • @Chabtung
      @Chabtung 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Too easy? People, I am sorry, but Dimash is a human being, not a machine, not to mention that his voice is a delicate instrument that must be carefully guarded because if something happens to it you can't replace it in a store. He can't do 3 hour long concerts of songs like SOS and Daybreak, not physically nor emotionally. Not to mention he is still just a young man who wants to have fun with his audience. And by the way I want to see other singers do everything he does in his almost half hour long concert versions of Screaming - I am sure it is very far from being easy. Bottom line, he needs breaks! Unless you want him to lose his extraordinary abilities by the time he is 30, of course. By the way, I am glad to see that he himself realizes that and includes in his concert repertoire less songs with crazy range and very high notes.

    His rapping is in Kazakh, his own language. He often closed his concerts (around 3hrs) with this song and singing it with his audiences. I think that the goal with this version and the rapping (which is not usually there and the mv is quite different) was to appeal to young fans, and those who are fans of rapping - and therefore bringing interest to Dimash from people who wouldn't otherwise be exposed to him. I have heard a ton of reactions to this performance and many people are hearing him for the 1st time because of the rapping. Then they go forward and listening to more Dimash and finding out what they have been listening to by being limited to rapping & pop. This performance has brought a new batch of new fans of Dimash that might not have heard him otherwise. I think that is what is happening by getting him on MTV and radio. Many listeners absolutely would not have listened and discovered him otherwise. So, I think this song/performance was a wise choice. But I think that you (as with me) will be much more pleased with the mv. Please check it out. I gave a link in the other comment here.

    You know what you are talking about, you are the best. I also think that Dimash's voice is very special for the pop genre, very easy for him. Anyone with certain skills and autotune can sing Pop music. For me Dimash is something far beyond the pop world. Dimash is a musical genius and his songs must be something great, full of feelings and a lot of interpretive difficulty because it is there where he grows and floats only through space. I like his airy voice and the melismas in this song but it is not my preference. Although as always some super notes so you don't forget who Dimash Kudaibergen is.

His pop-style songs give us something we can easily sing along with, they make pretty cool videos, and give us variety during concerts. He is rapping in Kazakh which is of course his native language. There is another video somewhere which translates it, but its a shoutout to all good Renaissance Kazakh men. He always sounds fantastic when he is duetting with himself, he is his own backup singer in this. I think its a fun song and sometimes that is all it needs to be. It breaks up his concerts a bit and its a different sort of energy.You need to watch the videos to the end to catch his interaction with his Dears. My favourites with Dimash are of course the Krutoy songs and I think we may be in for a treat later this year. Got to agree with you about his improv skills and he's great at that. Thank you. The Daybreak performance you reviewed was at his Solo Bastau Concert in Kazakhstan in 2017. The rap portion was in his native Kazakh language. This Screaming performance is in China at Idol Hits.

    Loved your response, thank you. I agree, but he's young and rock is always special to the young - he has lots of time to sing other stuff.
    I think - I don't know, and I"m no language expert - but I think he's singing in Kazakh, not Chinese. One translated line is interesting: "to those who preserve, honor and glorify their mother tongue." One of his goals has been to have a world wide hit sung in his own language. He cites the success of the K-pop star who had everyone singing in Korean as evidence that this is possible. In his NY performance of the Arnau Tour he managed to get the audience to sing chunks of Dididau with him... and it moved him to tears. So... maybe I'm weaving support for an untenable position, but I think it's worth considering that he had this pop song created knowing he was going to add a rap segment in his own language... Perhaps one of your other listeners who speaks Mandarin or Kazakh will speak up and tell us for sure what language it is...
    On an early 2020 interview w/ him from Russian tv, they asked about his rapping and he commented that he isn't very good, but it's his concert so who will stop him? LOL... Also said that he's very bad with choreography, that it is very hard for him, so that may be some of his discomfort. I noticed in one of the early moves he starts to grab his jacket and open it, then stops.... but does it the next time the moment comes. So.... yeah, the kind of small error you'd never find in his singing. If you listen to the official video of Screaming, he sings harmony with himself and we are treated to all of the great Dimash vocalizations that we love. No rap, but wonderful riffs.
    Just found something more. Pretty sure Screaming was originally written for the Arnau tour. Just looked that up and found this:
    ""Arnau" is Kazakh for a dedication - meaning the concert will be about the artist's dedication to his motherland."
    so again, only bread crumbs, but...

    He uses this song to play with the audience in concerts. The music video is more interesting musically but I like the live versions too for the audience interactions. One of his degrees is in pop music, he likes to play with everything.

    Bonjour, totally totally agree ( hope nobody gonna kill me i adore him ) it's not my favorite but sometimes I think that during long concerts he can sing it just get some rest and a little fun and interact with the audience but clearly he does a lot much better even if we appreciate it. Dimash (it was the start of his career in China, so ...) .. with Igor Krutoy it’s something else piece of art as samaltau etc merci à vous madame . Pensées from France🙏 🌹🇫🇷

    You need to react to the Screaming official MV to be found on his channel... There, he is singing, singing background, playing the piano and the drums... and the Harmonies are incredible! Check it out! This performance has only half of what he does in his official MV... And you need to react to his song and video Qairan Elim ! It's his co-directorial debut. It's incredible!! He completed his Masters in Music Composition this summer with highest point and honors, and started his Doctoral Program on Musicology this fall! Get used to the thought of Dr. Dimash...
    Dimash likes to keep his options open and go in whatever direction he wants...which is why he turned down the offer to be in the Astana Opera...
    And please react to his latest song - Karagym-ai. It is a tribute and lament to the composer of the song , who was also his mentor/teacher in Music Composition, who passed this summer from Covid. It is one of his most emotional performances and you will need tissues! Love that you care and worry about Dimash!

    Hi Christi, I am one of your subs and mostly a Dimash fan although I listen to your other videos. I am also a fan of A Capella and very much a fan of Pentatinox, Home Free and Voctave. I think there was an A Capella trend that started about 2012 (ish) where the High Schools and colleges started having A Capella clubs , groups and in some case major and minor curriculum. Both Pentatinox and Home Free won money and a recording contract on the A Capella show , "The Sing Off" , and most likely got their popularity from that. I wish to put in a voter for you to do a Pentatinox video. I kind of think that Scott of Pentatinox is sort of a Prodigy as he is most likely the heart of that arranging although I did make this statement once before and had a troll comment as if he was their manager that "No , they all help arrange". Ha , that was funny. In any case , it would be interesting to hear you analyze one of their songs as they are so creative. Thanks for doing these Christi, and thank you for putting up with us. With love from Florida Pentatinox link ( this song has 564 million views ) th-cam.com/video/LRP8d7hhpoQ/w-d-xo.html

    Dimash is using this song to end his concerts as what it is: a sing-along song. In endless repetition he goes back and forth singing with the crowd and makes them feel they can sing like him a bit.
    There is also a studio-recorded music video of screaming. From the melody and arrangement it feels even more like generic international pop, but he is gilding it with his voice, singing lead and backing vocals in a way that you get confused what is what. This song could easily be playing up and down any pop radio, I really wonder why it doesn't. You should really check it out.

    Rapping in Kazakh. He doesn't speak Mandarin other than a few phrases. He usually sings this at concerts when he introduces the band, so chance for improvisation etc. You should watch his Kremlin and other more recent Arnau concerts where he has dancers. The dancers at the Kremlin concert were really good

    I understand what you are saying but there are two things to consider. Dimash is young and he likes to have fun, and interact with his audience. Thus a song like this is perfect for that. Secondly, when Dimash is singing for three hours at a concert, he can't possibly sing the whole time, doing very heavy and demanding songs, or he will strain his vocal cords. and be exhausted. He has several more light hearted songs that he sings and dances around to and the audiences love it. They also love his more demanding songs. His fans range from the very young to the very old so he tries to have something for everyone.

  • @splatteryou

    Of course love the "classi Dimash", but some of my favorite Dimash songs don't have the vocal gymnastics. Marigolds, Papa Mama, Qaraǵym-aı and Qairan Elim (Qaraǵym-aı and Qairan Elim are new songs and sad, emotional songs. Another is Give Me Love.

    I think that the lyrics of this song are very emotional. He’s having fun on stage, but it if you listen to the lyrics it’s a very emotional song. Full of angst and pain. I also think that not every song has to show off all of his octaves. Nothing wrong with a few easy songs here and there.

    • @Rosannasfriend
