    I think the throwback offense style is motivated by a quarterback and wide receiver pay explosion.

    He also had a lot of yards and points taken off the board by mindless penalties. If they clean them up, he will be fine.

      @@jlamedia744that is a huge stretch. Its a perfect formula for winning against mid or average teams. We have yet to see how well it works against explosive teams with weapons. These last two games we've been able to play with a lead, I promise it will get scary when any team gets a lead on us. Its great we started 2-0, but there is definitely plenty of reason for uncertainty

    I said the exact same thing when asked. Fields is executing the game plan and improvising when necessary but nothing that’s gonna cause a needless turnover. Dude is playing sound football and folks may not find it very appealing but oh well. We’re getting the W’s and that’s all that matters.

    Harbaugh is gonna keep Herbert leashed until it’s time, and when it’s time we’ll find out what we have at WR. Right now it’s about slowly building confidence. When the time comes for someone to step up and make plays… if we do got some playmakers cool, if not we’ll go after jamar chase. Hopefully we find out this weekend

    • @turo3066

      This is similar with what's happening with the Steelers. Do you think the Bengals will let Chase walk? Has Harbaugh had top WRs in his offense when he was with SF?

      @@ezshottah3732 Similar is how the STEELERS are keeping Fields on a leash initially. (I miss typed) I'm just curious how the new Chargers management operates when building a roster. Will they pay a high priced FA? It would be amazing to see Herbert with somebody like that.

    • @ezshottah3732
      @ezshottah3732 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@turo3066 there’s a huge difference tho. JF is being leashed so he doesn’t lose the game and JH is being leashed because they haven’t needed him to win a game, yet. Idk how much chase wants but if the chargers need it they could afford a trade and have enough cap space now. If we lose to a team in a manner where we couldn’t keep up in points I could definitely see them looking into a player like that. It’s pretty much our biggest hole this far

    NFL games are BORRRRRING. I think you're right about the numbers. Defenses are too good, too fast, in ways that aren't all that interesting or watchable. That also makes the holding - TJ (full on wrestling holds) vs Brod Jones (ticky tack) - so completely frustrating. I had the Broncos game on in the background - there was no reason to really pay close attention to it.

    Defenses have evolved as a result of those golden years of high level QB play. The quality and talent of pass rush and DBs has improved dramatically. Every team is now having a deep pash rush rotation. Look how many just on our team alone. The trend is evolving back to balanced offense leaning on the run game. Even teams like KC, Miami, SF, Philly have strong running games.

    It's not ignorant Justin Fields is not a Quality NFL starting QB. You need to accept that as a fact. He's had Four Years to earn (Barely) 12 Wins. Look at Justin Herbert's stats compared to J-Fields. Not drinking your Kool-Aid nor Mike Tomlin's. He (Tomlin) chased away Mason R who was the best QB on the roster when he was drafted. Why should we trust him or the talking heads telling us Justin is the Messiah?

    • @warrenbain5982
      @warrenbain5982 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Your take is really stupid to me. This is why. 3 head coaches, 2 OC's, no front line, and only in the last year, he got a wide receiver. Do you see what is happening to Caleb Williams in Chicago for the past 2 games. The last game he almost got killed. NO QUARTERBACK COULD SURVIVE WITHOUT A GOOD TO GREAT FRONT LINE.
      Justin is being critiqued unfairly. And people like you just don't like or hate him.
      Stealers are 2 and 0. You play the game to WIN. However you can get a win, you do it. Justin Herbert is not lighting it up. Most quarterback in the league is playing conservative football. Teams are using the run more this season.
      So, educate yourself before posting stupid, uninformed, takes fuel by hate. 2 and 0 is 2 and 0.

    Chargers win this 24 to 10.... Pitt does not have enough on offense to beat the Chargers D which is the best all around in the league.... The Steeler D is excellent, but they will give up big gains to JK Dobbins who has the highest career Yards-Per-Rush in NFL history at 6.2 (phenomenal) through 26 games. Herbert knows what he's doing and will hold this all together with no problem -- he throws when he needs to throw. The Chargers OL is as supreme as it gets... Steelers are solid, but they won't win this one... "IF" the Steelers get 3 turnovers, then they have a chance to win. Good luck.
