you can statistically detemine the valu or by visual inspection. firstly collect data of the boundary which feature you want to highlight then you calculate the statistics of the collected data.
Hello I am using ENVI 5.3 to define iron oxide in my study area, I have created the iron oxide raster and i created the new raster color slice, but the question how to know values that to detect iron oxide when i edit raster color slice
After colour slicing of raster image, it will be rescaled into class 1, class2...., you have to know what is the value range of iron oxide occurance in your image and in which class you are taking it. then this class can be exported to polygon file for further study.
