I love the original version performed live in China, he looks like a traveller from the future! Also live versions from his Arnau concerts are wonderful, epic. I think you got it spot on about the tension between his voice and the music,, its like a battle in itself except that his voice is so sweet and pure by contrast with the booming sounds of war. I believe he chooses that beautiful high tone throughout because he is speaking on behalf of children and young people..
