Um! Argue with the cashier! 6:00 You should know better than anyone, the price that it's listed on the shelf IS THE PRICE IT SELLS FOR! Ask any manager and they'll award you the shelf tag price. It doesn't just "change within the hour" and if you've ever worked at a retail store, it's their job to go around and fix all those prices the night before for the changed prices the next day! If they miss one that is on them, not on you! I've had several cashiers that will suddenly act like they're managers and say how the shelf tag is wrong, but honey, that's not my problem! That's the managers problem and they know its illegal to not accept the shelf sale tag, in the US anyways.

Usually the reason they don't ring up right is because the computers have not been updated by the people in charge of the discounts. I'm a cashier and it happens alllll the time. Usually if you say something and specifically say that it was marked otherwise most stores will give you the discounted price...its their fault for screwing up, not yours.

The law allows for human error. If a mistake in pricing is made they don't have to honor it as long as it is corrected in a "timely manner." I have run into this before myself are Walmart. But in one case I was back a week later and the price error on the shirts was still there so I bought 3 more, showed them my receipt from the werk before and threatened to call corporate if price not honored. I think they still keep the scanners in the store not everyone has phones with smartphone features. I mean anything can happen even with your phone and the scan would still be good to run to if you need to scan the item prior to purchasing.

Great find, I found some good finds. Finally got a carpet for $31 and some cleaning stuff for $1. 34 at Lowe's and home Depot. Then I couldn't resist and got some more grab bags from Michaels.

Or it may just be she knows what she wants so she’s scanning just to make sure they’re not marked down.

All of these items were clearanced out because of the remodel. Not all Walmarts will have the same deals and they cannot be matched store to store because of the remodel in that location. When the store near you does their remodel you can get the deals.

I remember being in Marshall’s one time and a guy shoplifted; ran from the front of the store, and out the back. Police were called, and I was near one of the shelf stockers, she said they’ll never catch that guy. But what was really funny, was as it was happening, the music overhead was “Steal Away.” I looked at the shelf stocker and said “Kind of ironic what song’s playing right now?” We both had kind of a laugh over it. But that’s why stores don’t have back entrances anymore.
If an item is priced differently on the shelf than at the register, Walmart will accept the price on the shelf if you show proof. If you took a picture of the $13 price tag (and the price was in fact for that item), the person at the register has to honor it. It’s happened to me before in Walmart 😂
Scott Duxbury I had that happen with a mini fridge once. On the shelf it was marked $128 but it rang up for way more and they had to honor the shelf price. I was SO excited 🙌🏼

Most of the time, they'll just change the price to match so they can avoid the refund process. We got a $200 ladder from Menards for peanuts because it was stocked at the wrong tag.

She can gift them, but also if she wanted to resell them for a profit.
My Walmarts here don't put price labels nor clearance stickers on several products. I never have any good luck.
