A couple things...1. Count how many times I say "sick" 2. When I mentioned "trout" aren't the most agile creatures I was roughly referring to the small, non-native, stocker rainbow trout that get dumped into some of the local ponds and lakes up here in IL, not to be mistaken with full grown native rainbows, that thrive in their natural habitat. 3. Onimasu means trout in Japanese not in "Japan." That mistake was a result of a lack a sleep and was not an outcome of ignorance 4. The 4 minutes of pure nothing is the new style I'm going for, hope you like it. 5. Thanks to everyone who called me out on my mess-ups, there where a few in this one. Regardless I enjoyed sharing this unboxing with you all.

Hey john have you ever heard of Dotty? The 25.1 pound LMB caught at lake Dixon California, I live 5 min from Dixon and hit it all the time with big baits. I also regularly fish with some of the best swimbait fisherman in SoCal, if you have any questions about using glide baits or big swimbaits in general let me know.

I spent and entire day with one of the best big swimbait fisherman in the country last week and he taught me a good amount of what he knows. I am being nice and offering Jon help so he can experience the joy of catching big fish on swimbaits like I did.

I like this channel but...I don't see the point of the long section of blank video at the end. Perhaps it's a technique of getting credit for producing a longer video, time wise and/or a technique for getting your total video time higher without the need to produce another video. I sure hope I am wrong on this but these guys get a lot of pressure to produce content when dealing with sponsors/advertisments. It's getting very competitive. I kinda miss the old days when folks just produced home grow videos with no agenda. Now, industry sees the opportunity and are the driver!

Dear Bill,
You're over thinking the "blank" screen portion of this video. I can assure you the length of the video has nothing to do with how much I make or what type of ads get featured on this video. The blank screen is a result of the audio tracked placed at the end of the last clip. Before the last half of the song/audio was deleted it pushed the movie length over a few extra minutes. I uploaded the video without realizing there was this extra gap and by the time I noticed the issue it was too late to re-upload. Also, what my "competition" uploads is not of my concern, problem, or interest for that matter. I do sponsored videos to keep this channel alive and fuel my passion for fishing.

For smallmouth on Lake Huron i use the "Joe Balog's Replica Goby", It's literally a Huddleston Goby. Perfectly imitates a Round Goby darting around rocks. If you're in a harbor in the spring and you can see to the bottom at beds then drop that thing down and it will 100% catch any smallie on their bed. But it's a little ridiculous because a tube would literally do the same thing. I guess it's just cooler to say that i caught something on a 1.1oz wad of plastic

Nice baits! I throw some very similar baits for northern pike and definitely get bit from large and smallmouth. Its amazing how small they are sometimes. "Drawing power" baby!

Cool reel and swim baits. I picked up the Okuma Citrix ci-364 for swim baits and for Pike recently. Seems very nice.

Over here on the west guys use curado 300e to throw swimbaits, or Calcutta te even some Conquest, and now the Lexa 300 hd has become a favorite.

I've learned a lot from your videos like this. Not so much this one lol I've only fished rivers and creeks. Like salmon in Alaska to trout in Montana when I lived there. I just moved to Oklahoma so I'm trying to learn how to fish lakes and ponds and these videos have helped a lot.

I run the 400 series on my musky setup and it handles them like they are nothing. That 300 will be perfect for those baits and for some monster toads.

You should really order some Spooltek swimbaits. Down here in Florida they are used to catch snook, tarpon, bass, and really anything that bites. They have a concealed leader and it also makes it hard for a fish to throw the hook.
Those Cardiff's are amazing, looking at tackle warehouse right now for that reel, i bought a dobyns 8 foot 6 power rod to throw swimbait rods, also on tackle warehouse. And I'm buying line and a huddelston to use in one of my videos. I am new to huddelstons but not to big glide baits and other plastic swimbaits. Also, i know now, your in Texas with the G.S. and are very good at throwing glide baits.

Hey a really nice swimbait you can get for a cheaper price is the Spro BBZ-1 Shad Swimbait. I got the slow sinking one in wicked perch and I crushed it this past summer. Only 20$ at Tackle warehouse
