I’m new to crpgs and never really got a chance to play dnd when I was younger so this game seemed really intimidating but it also has everything and I mean EVERYTHING I want in an rpg including kingdom management etc. so I NEEED to play it and I’m so grateful for your helpful videos thank you!!! 😃🤍
For real. I grew up on ps2 and getting into these games tales some effort lol. So far played pillars and divinity 2 as well as wasteland 3. I will personally blame phones for zapping my attention span, love these games
The DLC beneath the stolen lands really got me hooked, high difficulty and getting good boons and items being sold at the beginning makes me do run after run
I just started this game. Im a huge isometric fan but have been putting this off, but wow I absolutely love this game so far. Its one of those games that from the first moment I just enjoy taking my time and experiencing all the game has to offer.

I grew up on Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.....and yeah.....what I see here scares me. Then again I feel it might be the old "just play the game, stop with the numbers and you will enjoy it" experience. Back when I was 10 basically did not even knew what D&D was and yet I managed to enjoy Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale....and Planescape Torment (different story). Maybe I can enjoy this one with my old brain.
Having played tons of Baldurs gate and Icewind dale really helps here :) Great video. About dying in the wiki they say "A character can survive some negative hit points, but if their amount becomes equal to their Constitution score, the character dies. To resurrect them, you will need a special spell.". If it is by hitpoints a higher level character would be much more unlikely to die.
Equal to the constitution score means you'll die if you have as much negative HP as you have points in constitution. Say you got 16 constitution, you'll be able to go as far as -15 HP without fully dying.

Great video. I highly recommend Solasta. Its in EA on steam but its literally D&D 5e on pc. Uts the best D&D exp ive had and literally so close to its pnp counterpart

Truly, you made my morning. Thanks for the kind comment! I want to, believe me. Couple of things, I spent about 270 hours on pathfinder, which is probably about 4-5 times the BG footage hah! It also took me a couple of months to finish the BG uploads. Pathfinder will probably take me 6 months + to get up here. I want to do it, but I'm struggling with doing all of this alone! It's so time consuming!

just got tje game on xbox sale for like £8 quid, series x is really fast load times lol this is very helpfull to know wtf im doing tho the classes and skills etc are nuts undead blood, dragon blood wtf is all that

Picked this up on console today. A lot to digest. I've come from Pillars. So switching between characters in battle is a bit of a chore. If you pick this up on console. I'd be pleased if you did a how to play on it.

as just a general question - wouldn't a paladin (intended for like a tanking role?) want high dex? or am i misunderstanding? Or are there other methods of damage mitigation?
No, because a Paladin is likely to wear heavy armor which would erase any dex bonus you have any way. A dex Paladin might make a decent archer/part time healer/part time buffer. But imo as a full bab character they need to be on the front line.
I'm a Switch player and saw this game as a Switch release but this doesn't seem to be so. This game seems right up my ally. I'm a big fan of the D&D type games. Have you heard anything about a Switch release or any info?
@Hauke Holst already beat the game on pc, but I prefer controller gaming from my lounge. Also I prefer controller control rather than constantly clicking to move my team.
Yeah, I’d Definitely watch it...I like the attention to detail you put into your videos, which would probably translate pretty well while doing a play through.
@@HazVsRPG Thats ok I'm not to worried about 4k graphics and 60+ frame rates. However I am worried that this game might not let go once it haz a hold of me.
Honestly I think most front line fighters can be good in the game as long as you take Blind Fight - without spoilers, just trust me, you need this otherwise every fighter no matter what build will be severely hampered at some point, you'll know what that I'm talking about when you get there if you don't have it.

Literally the best D&D UI in any D&D based game ever.
Really like my alchemist/bard the ability to buff and debuff while doing massive aoes is amazing.

I just googled best classes and went with sylvan sorcerer, not that it matters I play these things on easiest settings anyway
No shame in that whatsoever, play however you need to in order to best enjoy! I never played as a sorceror myself, curious to know how you go!!

Hmm there is so many build to choose and a lot of them is a powerful be it classic class or mixed build or maybe prestige class.
Yes! The choices are insane, it can be really overwhelming honestly!! But rest assured that almost ALL classes will work and be fun to play!!

The ssao graphics option is still very unoptimised it seems, crank that up to max and watch the frames plummet!!

Are paladins good in this? I was gonna go with a sorcerer and just have Valerie be my front liner, but your pally sounds cool so now I don't know lol
