Not a glitch, first is way ahead and the items you pull depend on distance so the further away you are the better the items you get. For example if youre right next to get a coin sometimes but when you were really far away tou got those. And you have no proof at the end of gwtting those items and stuff. I can confirm its not a glitch, and trust me I would know i glitch hunt this game very often. Nice video though :)
items in mario kart 8 deluxe is both distance based and place based. with a case of a star, you can pull it from 2 - 12 with a bit of a distance which is the case.
This isn't a glitch, it's because 1st place has a big lead. The items are not only given based on placement, distance is also a factor
