I was there in 2007 and after that the earthquake closed the place for a few years and it was great to see this place again through your video. I will visit again for sure. The buses are not arranged properly and not very efficient. They should plough a fixed route for anyone to get on or off the buss as they wish. Other than that everything is 100 %. Disney could advise them on this matter. The public toilets was invented by a Taiwanese.
I've heard a lot about the beauty of Jiuzhaigou prior to the earthquake and those who have visited since have mostly said that the earthquake ruined the sights slightly, so it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on your return trip! You can still see the after effects of the earthquake throughout some parts of the scenic area as well. And thank you for the info about the public toilets - I avoid these like the plague when travelling in China but was honestly shocked by how well-maintained and clean the public facilities were throughout the park.
Great video with helpful information thank you! Question about the bus from Huanglong Jiuzhai Station. Could you share some more information about the bus please? Was this bus waiting for passengers from the train and is it quite obvious? Also how do you pay for the bus? I'm planning a 2 day trip near the end of December. Hopefully the cold weather will mean less crowds! Thank you :)
Of course! I booked and paid for my bus tickets through Trip.com and received information about the vehicle number and the driver's contact details via text the night before my trip so I think for this option you'd need a Chinese phone number. You can get the bus tickets at this link under the "Through train" section: www.trip.com/travel-guide/attraction/jiuzhaigou/jiuzhai-valley-national-park-89895/ If you don't have a Chinese phone number, there are direct buses from Huanglong Jiuzhai Station to Jiuzhaigou and you can get these tickets at the railway station - once you exit the station, there is a really large flight of stairs / escalators - just head up these and all the buses will be parked to your right hand side. There are also a lot of guides around asking whether you have bus tickets to Jiuzhaigou, etc. There is a sign in blue that states 景区直通车 (Scenic Area Direct Bus); for these buses you can get your tickets on the day as they depart once they are full. You can also get tickets for the buses through the WeChat mini app called 九旅悦行 and this should work as long as you have your card set up in WeChat. The only thing I'm not sure about here is whether they take cash but honestly you should have at least WeChat or Alipay set up ready to go if you are travelling to China :) Let me know if you have any other questions.
The right hand side (Rize Valley) has more to see if you’re only planning to visit one valley. Zechawa Valley just to see Long Lake and Five Coloured Pond can be a bit time consuming! I think it’s very doable though, to visit Rize Valley as well as Shuzheng Valley (the third valley at the bottom.)
I just visited it 2 weeks ago. We spent 2 solid days which is very worthwhile.
Sounds like a good time! Did you visit Huanglong as well?
very nice
Thank you!

很漂亮
是的,很遗憾没有碰上好天气

I plan to visit Jiuzhaiguo in early April next year and only have one full day, would you recommend me to take eastern or western route? Thanks
