I can't believe TH-cam's not doing anything about it... How hard can it be, it even uses her profile pic and name. Some basic filtering would go along way.
@@NotBROLL I agree. I've tried to report them so many times and you're right TH-cam doesn't do anything. These guys are Nigerians. I've played along their stupid game. They engage in conversation as Isabel and even imitate her way of saying things. But soon enough they ask for money for a trip to go feed the needy in Ukraine. They ask to send money via Zeller or Cash app. I replied to them "No. But i will send you a wire transfer to your bank in Washington state!" Hahahaha At first they insisted in using the apps mentioned, but at some point they said they had a bank account. And the beneficiary was a Nigerian guy name. Idiots! I didn't send any money of course and deleted them. And i decided to alert our community.
Im glad you had an adventure but be safe and research your path. Spontaneous adventure is great but dont be naive to potential consequence. I knew exactly what you were in for on both trips even before you endured them
Also plan for an over night stay, you guys shouldnt have left to go back in the fog and rain after already almost getting lost. Im not trying to dampen your sense of adventure but rather keep it safe and properly enjoyed
Hikers go missing all the time in the Alaskan wilderness and are never found. I think what they did in the 2nd half of this video where they went off trail was incredibly dangerous.
I hope off-camera they were more prepared than they look. Certainly they cut out when they got really scared-gotta keep the Isabel brand upbeat and optimistic, though in this kind of video the difference from reality is pretty jarring.
@@凯思 i think they down played how bad it was or they are unaware of how close of a call it was. Maybe they added the getting missing thing for excitement? Either way I hope they realize the potential risks and how close they were to making that a reality.
@@mayo3778 yea for sure, hiking in the rainy mountains in a secluded area is dangerous enough. Let alone heading back in fog. Even the canoe trip was clearly long as described by the lady. If its 12 lakes and the cabin is half way... there will be a lot of paddling and a few portages. Luckily theres lots of day light there this time of year but that could have been a terrible situation in itself

...WOW !! What an exciting adventure for you both !! ...Save this film for your memoirs ,, titled " Into the Grey Fog " ... No plans ,, No knowledge of area ,, limited gear in case of extended time out from being lost ... Memories for life !! ... .. It is stories like this , is why Alaska has such a vast list of missing backcountry explorers ... cannot believe the outfitter didn't stress a guide or at least a local hiking nerd to assist you ... was a huge risk but a remarkable adventure none the less .... Drone shots were amazing !! ..
I know, with it still raining & foggy they head back down slippery, rocky terrain they already admitted they couldn’t find. Eating with the doors open in bear country. They should have stayed another day or at least until the way was more clear. I e read several stories of late of TH-cam videos content creators dying trying to make contact. One of which. I sure hope you got home ok without any injuries. I think I would have spent another night instead of hiking down in the rain and especially the fog. So quickly things can go very bad in the wilderness. Very bad! Slip and break something, or even worse hit your head. I have hiked my whole life and now 75 and still hike but I never would push on if the conditions were not acceptable. But, other than my motherly instincts kicking in, you two looked like you were having a lot of fun. Reminds me of my two sisters and me. Be safe girls!
You're so right about the idea that they should have stayed another night in that cabin and not taken the chance they did in the rain. Here in NH, many many have perished on only our 6300 ft. Mt. Washington. That's because the weather is so unpredictable. Rapid weather changes happen frequently, even in mid summer, some with very tragic consequences.
@@jerry3579 Jerry, I am from NH also and have climbed all the 4,000 Footers in Maine NH and VT. I have turned around many times because of adverse weather. Fog being one of the things that made me turn around the most in Maine. You can get lost or fall off a cliff very easy in the fog. The mountain will be there another day! So many have fallen or have been lost in these mountains here in Colorado too. So many and most were ill prepared. Young with no fear or may I say enough knowledge of being out in wilderness.
I've always wanted to go back to Alaska. I was a baby when my Dad got stationed there. When I was 2 in 1964 the huge earthquake and tsunami hit. My Mom told my Dad, "You have to stay, we don't". We barely made it out before the runway collapsed. My mom, sister and I moved back to Texas. My dad had to join us later. I have always wanted to go back and visit. It is beautiful. You two are really brave and inspiring. ❤

Now you're adventuring like I've done for five decades and more. I've been to Alaska so I know what it can be like in those rugged, remote mountains. I lived in Yukon Territory for much of the 1970's, when I was a young man. Yukon is just as rugged and wild as Alaska. Good for you to have the cajones to get out there and live life in the wild. Those drone shots are always a welcome addition. Another great adventure for you and your sister! Cheers to you!
My housemate and I discussed it, and I am sorry to say that you girls are grounded for a month. We want you to reflect on areas where you can be more careful regarding outdoor safety and personal care. We are sorry, but we do it because we love you and do not want you to be harmed.

Isabel, I was stationed in Alaska for 7 years when I was in the military. The Summers are beautiful, but the Winters are brutal. Don't get me wrong, you have to be wary of the Bears, but the Moose are just as bad if not worse. Did anyone tell you the state bird of Alaska is the mosquito? 🤣😂 You are definitely out in the bush where your cabin is. I'm glad you and your sister got to experience Alaska.

A trip to Alaska with no pictures of the beautiful landscape and mountains.🤔 Did you fly to Anchorage and see the big stuffed bears who eat humans every year? I lived in Alaska for seven years! Beautiful mountains, awesome fishing, and great hunting with lots and lots of mosquitoes during the wet summer months! You two both must of been eaten alive wearing short sleeves and no mosquito nets. I've hunted all over Alaska and I would NEVER hike without my 44 mag and bear stopping cast bullets! Bear spray would have NEVER deterred a determined and angry momma bear with Cubs! Very very dangerous for two naive young women with short sleeve shirts to be hiking in Alaska!😉
Yes, Isabel should add a disclaimer, not to do what she does. This was unsafe for sure. I think this is the sister who is to be married, I don't think I would have let her go if I was the fiancé.

Nothing like a sister relationship. Seriously. I miss mine. The laughing is on another level, because y'all really really understand each other!!

Wow, what a video. The part where you made the cuts in sync with the music, the beautiful scenery, then Alexa falling and having her leg stuck in the water were so funny, and then the scary part with the rain and fog? 10/10 emotional rollercoaster video.

Wow! I’m 53 and I wish I could be half as brave as you ! What an incredible inspiration you are. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Thank you for making all of these videos, from food to freedom. Ypu are living the life some of us, twice your age, are too afraid to live, even if this is supposed to be our life. Truly grateful for you making remember how i am supposed to live.

Fell off a cliff while trying to get a shot when the wet ground beneath him gave way. I applaud her adventurous spirit and can do attitude. And she obviously got down or we wouldn’t have seen this video, but she was lucky.
It's good to see Alexa again! this was awesome. Love you guys. Thank you Isabel x

Oh my the photography. Stunning! Brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing
I was thinking the same thing... I don't think I would have left in that weather.
Reckless, foolish, dangerous and senseless adventure!!! Beautiful scenery!!!!
Your videos wake me up for the week and remind me to open my eyes to the world around me. I’m fortunate to live in the countryside in the UK but I often forget it. Keep up these inspiring and positive vibes! You produce the only healthy content on social media!
I'm guessing you made it out OK. It's been my experience that the most challenging experiences creates a greater bond between the people experiencing them. Also, it makes for great stories to tell. Love your videos. As always, be safe in your travels.
And for once I would also like Isabel to wear the proper shoes and clothing. She is always dressed for a yoga class no matter where she is. I'm surprised she wasn't wearing one of her dresses! They should have had bug spray for sure.

THANK YOU FOR COMING AND FILMING❤️I am so GRATEFUL you made it to Alaska!! I've commented a couple times saying how amazing it would be to see you visiting! I actually live in the matanuska Valley, and I am so thrilled you took one of the trails in Hatchers pass. I'm born and raised and it is still my most favorite place on the planet. For your safety I won't disclose the name of the trail, however I do know that after the first 5.5 miles they no longer maintain the trail. I usually stack rocks and tie tape along the way but haven't had the chance to make it up there yet. I'm so happy you were able to come, and show the true beauty of this state. THANK YOU AGAIN🌿
PS it is impossible to hike that trail without getting soaked, no matter the time of year.

Isabel, I was stationed in Alaska for 7 years when I was in the military. The Summers are beautiful, but the Winters are brutal. Did anyone tell you the state bird of Alaska is the mosquito? 🤣😂 You are definitely out in the bush where your cabin is. I'm glad you and your sister got to experience Alaska.

I have been following you for a couple years already. I love watching you build and plant and harvest. Small word of caution; Alaska IS DANGEROUS
and there are many species that can have you as a food source. I know you enjoy the wilderness as do I, however Alaskan animal predator types travel
in groups or packs. bears spray only makes you feel safe. armed guides are cheap enough there. Word to the wise

I loved the amount of chaos in this video, yet how chilled you were about it all 😂😅 Alaska is so beautiful 😍
The Indie music in these films, it sounds like the sad scenes from a college movie. Your life is close to perfection.
