बिहार के पूर्व डिप्टी सीएम सुशील मोदी का सोमवार रात निधन हो गया। वो इस समय राज्यसभा सांसद थे। सुशील मोदी 72 वर्ष के थे और लंबे समय से कैंसर से पीड़ित थे। उन्हें करियर की शुरुआत में लालू प्रसाद यादव का सेक्रेटरी भी कहा जाता था, जबकि वो सेक्रेटरी नहीं थे। सुशील मोदी और लालू प्रसाद, जेपी आंदोलन से मुख्य राजनीति में आए थे। दोनों बिहार की राजनीति के प्रमुख चेहरे रहे हैं। सुशील मोदी बिहार की डिप्टी सीएम भी रहे।
