A knock sensor monitors your vehicle’s engine for unusual pulsations caused by things such as engine knock. If a sensor is damaged or malfunctioning, the engine may run poorly, inefficiently, or only in a low speed safe mode, and may also trigger diagnostic codes. This video shows you how to install a new knock sensor in your 2007-2017 Ford Expedition.

I'm confident I could have done the job following a shop manual but this video made it a lot easier. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Eloquent and direct. Appreciate it greatly. Some of the automotive repair videos ive seen elsewhere mustve been made by college attendees; cletus and bob, in between" not makin sense" class, and banjo studies. And forget about torque spec. Refreshing to see the other side of that.
Man, What a thorough and to the point video! great job.
thanks
Thanks for this video !! It was in great detail and photography. You explained it very well. I was going to let my mechanic do this job but now I will do it and save $300.00 . Thank you.
Very detailed. Great explanation and work.

Great video, but I would love to tell the engineering team what I think of their design. Insanely complicated to replace a simple device.
Love the video but not sure what the point of taking the alternator off was
Basically it gives you about 2 inches extra to get the intake out of the valley, just done mine this morning and I highly doubt it would come out without removing alternator, I'll be honest I was thinking the same thing that you said then i realized why it needed to come out...lol.... Hope this helps
This does not include the 2015, 2016, or 2017 which only came with a 3.5L V6
What is that other sensor on the passenger side, above the knock sensor? It has a white plastic clip and a brass colored metal insert going into the engine.
How similar is this to a 2005 F150 5.4 3V? I assume that some of the bolt locations are the main difference.
Is it possible for the sensor to malfunction without the appearance of fault codes? I have a sound in the engine that looks like a patch, knowing that I use high lactane 95 fuel.
very well explained. This video helped me thanks
great instruction very well explain.
