John 17:24 - God also loved all of us as his children, and called us, before the world came to be. This verse is NOT teaching about a "God the Son" person.

    1. Jesus says "God is a spirit" (Jn. 4:24)
    2. Who is that "God who is a spirit"? No doubt, He is THE FATHER (Jn. 4:23,24)
    3. Thus, you know that the FATHER - WHO IS A SPIRIT - is INSIDE JESUS (see "..from the Father who DWELLS IN ME")
    4. Is there ANYONE ELSE inside Jesus? NO - contrary to the trinity doctrine - Jesus states and reiterates to be WITH THE FATHER ONLY ("Yet, I am not ALONE because the Father is with me") i.e. just Father and Son.
    5. But where is the "Holy Spirit" who helped Jesus in the desert now, did a "change of assistance" occur? No "shift-change"! Of course the Father - who is a spirit - and is inside Jesus - is simply called "HOLY SPIRIT" by Jesus, see his sermon on the two blasphemies. He is thus the THE SAME ONE who helped Him in the desert, who spoke when He was baptized, who was responsible for Mary's pregnancy, who will help the apostles...

    The Trinity is awesome. 😇🥰

No trinity exists. The bishops of the council of Constantinople (381 AD) made a big blunder.
The "Spirit of God" (Holy Spirit) is just an EXTENSION of the almighty God. This means that in "God" and "Spirit of God" there exists ONLY ONE God's MIND!
For ex. in this verse the "spirit of Elias" is of course NOT a person DISTINCT from Elias!
"He shall go in the SPIRIT and POWER of Elias to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children..."
In a similar way, the "Spirit of God" (Holy Spirit) is not a Person DISTINCT from "God".
"The Holy SPIRIT shall come upon thee, and the POWER of the HIGHEST shall overshadow thee so...". In other words the Holy Spirit is the EXTENSION of God who is responsible for Mary's pregnancy. No " Lord who gives life" - who is supposed to be almighty, but uses the "power of the Highest" instead - exists. Thus, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the same as blasphemy against the Father. Since A. "God" and B. the "Spirit of God" share the same ONE God's mind, of course Jesus can only have ONE relationship with the Father (see the gospels). I.e. it's impossible for Jesus to have TWO relationships, only the Father is on the other side. As reiterated many times by Jesus, He is only with the Father ("I am not ALONE because the Father is with me") i.e. just Father and Son, no third divine person exists.

      the apostle John would disagree.

John would agree, because John states that JESUS IS ONLY WITH THE FATHER:
"Yet, I am not ALONE, but I and the Father who sent me are one." (explicit)
"those who will BELIEVE in me through their word so that they all may be one, as you, FATHER, are in ME, and I in YOU. THEY also may be one in US..." (believers, Father and Son, nobody else is there)
"I am not ALONE because the Father is with me". (different from "I am not alone because the Father and the Holy Spirit are with me").
" ...no MAN knows, no, not the ANGELS in heaven or the Son, but THE FATHER ONLY knows." (just Son, men and angels are considered, no third divine person)
" No man knows who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him." NO THIRD PERSON KNOWING FATHER AND SON EXISTS
"The WORDS I say to you, I say not on my own but from the FATHER WHO DWELLS IN ME." (this means nobody else is there, Jesus is already helped by the Father)
" You neither know me nor my Father." (nobody else is there to be known)
" On that day you will know that I am in my Father, you are in me, and I am in you." (Apostles, Father and Son, nobody else)
"The Father has not left me ALONE because I always do what pleases Him." (again)
" My Father works now, so I work." (nobody else is working)

And the relationship is between Jesus and God, not between "God the Son" and God.

In other words you say that Jesus is just a "regular person". Well, Jesus indeed claims to be a divine person : "I am in the Father and the Father in me". Please notice here the perfect symmetry between Jesus and God: not only God is inside Jesus, but Jesus is INSIDE GOD too! It is true that Jesus states "the Father is greater than me" (Jesus is not almighty), but Jesus also states to have something MORE than God: He is also "Son of man". For this reason Jesus is the ONLY KING of heaven ("MY kingdom") and has the privilege - over God - to be the ONLY One who DECIDES whether you will live or not (i.e. enter heaven) : "For the Father DOES NOT JUDGE anyone, but has given all judgment to THE SON". Thus, Jesus is not the ALMIGHTY God, yet He is a divine Person: "Son" means He derives from God, He is not a regular "Son".
