I always have a soft heart for people who are quiet and introverted. So seeing Yu struggling with words in this video make me wanna him and comfort him. But I'm also glad that people around him don't make fun of his lack of language or his personality. Especially with Sam being there with him guarding and comforting him as a partner in anyways.
Honestly I think YU's Chinese level is pretty damn good for only studying it for 6 years. Chinese is a hard language - this cast has been amazing with encouraging him to speak more and helping him with the language barrier. I'm glad he had such a great cast for his first film.
I wish i had you as my rl friend. Everyone around me mostly don't fond of my introvert personality. And it give me a hard time to adapt to this extrovert world.

@@jongwoon2408 same... sometimes i feel like is it so bad to be an introvert? They asked me to be more extrovert. How is that possible. I think with YU it’s not really language barrier that caused him to talk less but it’s his introvert characteristic. For me, as an introvert, I find it hard to form a sentence or to respond immediately to question thrown at me. I don’t like to talk much and prefer to listen more. I am not eloquent so it’s very hard to express myself. So I can totally understand YU especially when he said he doesn’t like people to randomly cue them. It’s very tiring to our brain to respond, form sentences etc.
The feeling between RayTian and SamYu interview are really different. RayTian more like brothers but there is soft feeling for SamYU due to both character and personality. RayTian will answer whatever the question but SamYU won't answer it if it was something personal like 'when is their last meeting' together.
I really like how Sam patiently waiting for YU to spoke his mind since this was the last interview for them on season 2. He even willing to interpret the words for YU. This two are so sweet.

Wholeheartedly agreed. I want to write about it too but scared I'd get bash for being bias 😅 But there's just something different between the 2 CP. I mean both are CP, but the other one doesn't give much of a CP feeling? idk.. 😅😅 I cannot imagine if SamYU/DeYi is not the main CP in S3.
@@swxndcg if someone feel offence by my comment then i feel sorry but i just want to state my opinion. Not only me but i think RayTian will probably agree with me. It doesn't mean RayTian have no chemistry. They did fantastic job on the drama, seriously ShouZhen part made me cry a lot on the final epi. In the drama their love is romantic but not in a sweet romantic but more painfully romantic. Outside the drama they more look like a comedic duo, a sweet Da Ge/大哥 (big brothers). I can feel that Ray really have soft spot for Tian and Tian also admire Ray. Ray have a sense to protect Tian sometimes. But he also act the same to Sam and YU also, that's why i said it is more like Da Ge or Ray more prefer to be called (表哥) Biao Ge/Cousin.
But SamYu both have soft spot for each other, and they act like this only for each other. I watched all their interview, i can see how Sam always patiently waiting for YU to talk and encourage YU to speak up his mind. Protected him from some inappropriate comments. interpret the words for YU, since his chinese is not that really well (I understand his hardship. I learn chinese so but still struggling to remember all the words and the pronunciation). And YU also put a big trust to Sam. I think during the series making and promotion he depend on Sam a lot. Sam was like 'his comfort and safety zone'. I think Sam was really really a sweet and good person.

I love that Sam always pays attention to YU when he expresses his thought and helps YU with wording. I have an impression that Sam loves listening to YU's character analysis but unfortunately, YU usually doesn't talk much. I hope they will talk more off-screen.
It strikes me how Sam listens attentively and with care at 48:00 while Yu talks about SY feelings towards SD, you can really tell how he holds the characters dear to his heart as if he were handling his own feelings
He seems genuinely interested and kinda moved by Yu’s thoughts about their characters 😭so precious
He is so invested emotionally it's amazing.

I can see how YU look up to Sam, as we all know the later really take a good care of YU and guiding him in this series! and Sam, who irl a strict person to his own self must be feel the responsibility after gain such a trust! and how himself such a caring person in nature! the way he always encourage YU to speak more, waiting for him to finish, informing what YU not understand, correcting YU words, many little things Sam put his cares for YU! that I dare to say, its a lucky for YU to be partner with Sam as his first ever gig as actor.
I just fall for their sincere interaction and genuine relationship without need to bee too much or 'extra' thats make SamYU loved by many!

I love Ray and Tian be a they are hilarious together and feel like best bros. I was blushing right along with Yu because Sam’s small reactions and comments are so intentional and adorable/overwhelming you can’t help but to giggle when he flirts. Their chemistry is unmatched and I’m so here for it!! 🥰✨

I just knew Sam and YU after watching WBL and I watched every single subbed interview there is just to get to know them and their thoughts more. Since I just knew them from a number of interviews, it seemed to me like Sam's a leader type of person, who can be assertive, when he needs to but can also be a quiet/shy type one. He's so good at guiding YU and he's never tired doing it. Not to put words on someone else's mouth but I guess this is something YU's thankful for. I think YU grows in this process as well and I hope in the future he's able to express himself more on his own. Right now, I wish he gets to work with people who can understand him like Sam does or encourages him like RayTian does. I'm really looking forward to S3! Thank you so much for subbing this. When they are talking deeper about "Is this luck still mine", and YU said part of it is forgiveness and Sam immediately went serious and invested....I was like, "Did this two privately had some arguement or fighting" 😅. It seems like YU did something wrong, and Sam just had to ask the reason then and there, even when YU is cue-ing like, "we will talk about this more later". They had super awkward moment but also super sus moment at the same time. Am confused 😂.

If you've watched the show where the cast went camping together, you can see that Ray behaves like a kid despite being the oldest and the leader of the group, whilst Sam as assistant leader is the 'dad' of the group.

I always, always enjoy and feel so grateful of sam for always being so supportive of yu by encouraging him to speak more. Not only in this video but even in most of their live or interview, he always encouraged yu to speak more about his mind no matter if yu sounded shy or in doubt that it was gonna take some times for yu to finally get to the point. Like Sam would keep on encouraging yu (to the point sometimes it made us wait for a few minutes of silence bcs yu were thinking so hard and nervous too). It's so different with how raytian works (esp tian) bcs we know tian is very good at speaking his mind, and when yu were with tian, tian usually just interpreted it by explaining it more with what he thought yu meant (it doesn't mean tian is bad but it's just different method, while tian usually interpret the first time after yu answered, sam usually let yu to speak more for a few minutes until he finally felt like yu talked enough and then helping yu by interpret it). It's just nice to see how "patient" Sam is yknow because like they were so in depth talking about the characters and it's very interesting too see.

He seems okay to the topic on that day but since a lot saying that it was a gambling game etc. maybe yu's company doesn't want yu to open a topic about mahjong even though he is not good with it, cause it can affect his public image that's why he avoided discussing about that topic anymore so hope they stop talking and asking about it everytime they are live, cause yu doesn't play with it cause he doesn't know the rules of it.

@@fluffy_subs i'm not a native speaker but from what i understood i don't think sam said the impossible line about the staff asking them to look at each other, if that was the case he wouldn't have emphasise the fact that he already said that it was not possible and later on read the "look at each other for 10 sec request" from the computer like he didn't even hear the staff before... and the thing is if he doesn't want to or can't come it's totally valid, maybe he already has plans or different projects going on during that time, it's okay
Like I said before, he probably just didn't want to make any promises, its perfectly understandable! To each their own interpretation 😊
Remember when Sam asked who organized the concert? Being in the entertainment industry for so long, he understands that you can't just join a concert unless the organizers / agencies allows you to. And I think Sam understands that the concert is about YU therefore it will be improper if he goes there as the spotlight will be directed to SamYU instead of just YU.

I'm happy to share! I don't know if I am considered a native speaker - I was born in China (mainland) but I moved to Canada when I was less than 3 years old. So I suppose Chinese is my native language but I am certainly not very good at it. English is probably better considered as my first language. I can understand what people are saying which is how I'm translating these videos and I can speak a little bit of the language.
Which interviews of SamYU are you looking for? I'm currently translating the last live they did - are there any other interviews that you want translated? I believe other translators have done subbing on most of the shows they've been on.
@@fluffy_subs thats cool! So how did you learn/are learning chinese? Ive been learning it since last year and its been really really hard because chinese is a very different language from my native. I'm still at that phase where almost everything still sounds the same (tones are very difficult to distinguish to me).
Their latest interview with top movies is subbed but a lot of people are saying the subs are not accurate and some parts they didnt translate. This is just a request I'd undestarnd if you dont sub it! Also, sorry for my bad english its not my first language so my grammar is really bad.
Chinese is super, super hard! Don't give up though, it comes with practice. Mainly hearing the words a lot + how the speak + just practicing the tones. For me, I listened to a lot of podcasts, movies, shows etc. in Chinese so that helped my listening skills.
Ohhh some people have told me about the top movies interview. LOL I looked at the subs myself, they were not so good but I am worried if I post their interview subbed on my channel, it might get taken down for copyright because they already have subs on theirs. I've been searching for a way to contact them and submit my subtitles to them but so far, no good.
Why was Sam so uncomfortable about YU asking him to come to his online concert :( bby YU Looked let down
Maybe because he was embarrassed to tell YU that he was not going to his concert.
I think Sam already know his schedule that he need to go LuDao (which happened) during Yu online concert that’s why he ask the team why no one notify him. It can proved that Sam didn’t tell lie, now is depend whether Yu will join the LuDao trip or not as he said, haha.
