Hey Jessica, please make part 3 too! Great video! ❤
The fried noodles in the bhel are called sev. And bhel is traditionally eaten with the puri which you did 👍
You were so bang on right about dal chawal (rice & lentils)! It is indeed Indian soul food. So glad you enjoyed the thali! When you are in India do remember to go to eateries that are hygienic. Also note that even the so called non spicy food will be hot and spicy.
Love little Alphonso! ❤ Hope he ate something 😂😮

I am Indian and My soul food is not dal chawal, we don't even eat once in a year, Our soul food is Ragi ball with mutton curry... Don't claim every Indian is like u..

    • @priyasri111
      @priyasri111 ปีที่แล้ว

@@MohanKumar-xx6mu I didn't claim anything. She said in the video that eating dal & rice felt like soul food (which most likely was told to her by the restaurant people) so I agreed because a lot of Indians think so too. That doesn't undermine yours or any other culture's food. So relax.

The one with the red chilli in it is a yogurt-based dish. Called Khadi. (Ku-di)
The chapati (cha-pa-ti) looks so good!
The picked side dish is called Achar. (Aa-char). This is a must with all vegetarian Indian food. 😊

15:25 Thanks for calling it *Gravy* 😅 Not curry 🙏
That paneer dish was definitely Paneer tikka masala..
Paneer is a famous substitute of chicken... i.e., for vegetarians, in India.
That dosa is Mumbai style "Jini dosa" 🤤
Btw you can easily make *Bhel Puri* at home. Its healthy and light..and quite refreshing.

    1. Take pickle only a pinch ( a dot ▪️). Here u had 1 teaspoon which is a lot. It will overpower all flavour and will be very pungent. U are only supposed to take pickle only a dot and mix with rice and dal/gravy and eat.
    2. Eat bhel with puri or spoon.

HeY Jessica you are givin me pangs of hunger and making me jealous because you are eating all the good food of india. It is a beautiful experience to watch your videos and especially your excitement , laughing /smiling , sparkle in your eyes and your real natural reaction of the pure joy of eating INDIAN Dishes so good to watch a foriegner really liking our INDIAN DISHES . Also Kudos to your husband to videograph all the indian dishes and bringing to Indian viewers . Keep it up . Once you start eating Indian FOOD then you wil not touch or eat any other kind of food of course if you are able to digest and tolerate spices of india. Also please watch your weight because very soon you might put on some weight after eating our INDIAN FOOD because you need to be more fatter in flesh which you need for ultra thin body frame. Please eat Paneer rich foods of India to put on weight. What you are eating in is all snacks dish in India and is supposed to be a food for rich and poor for all. What foriegners actually do in their excitement is that they try all many dishes at the same time by which the individual flavours of each dish clash and probability of cancelling out the deliciousness and taste of crossing against each other. Please cover only few dishes one or two at a time so that the flavours or tastes of individual dishes do not clash with each other. I know in U.S it is quite expensive and you want to cover maximum no. of dishes at one go for your TH-cam but decide on south indian dishes in one instance, then north indian dishes in the next instance and do not mix snack dishes or quick fast food dishes with meals on the same day in the same instance. ONLY THEN you would be able to enjoy each dish tastes individually for more satisfaction and for giving more value to each specaility dishes.

Great video Jessica….you showed so much respect to the food ❤. But I HAVE TO say something about not seeing you enjoy the salad with the Indian food. You must take some crunchy bites of the onions that came in the salad to enjoy the full texture of Indian food. We normally take a bite of the roti/rice and then take a crunchy bite of onion to add flavour to it. You will especially love it with curry dishes. We enjoy taking bites of tomato and cucumber as well, as you got in the plate. But even if you don’t develop a taste for that, you can certainly give the onions a try. Our daily thali is incomplete without a bowl of salad, especially onions on the side. And if you want adventure, then do take a tiny bite of the stuffed/seasoned green chilly they gave in the salad. That is another level of authentic Indian flavour. Sending you and little Alphonso lots of love ❤️

While many types of vegetarian food have more protein than non-vegetarian food. Be a pure vegetarian and stay healthy. And let the beautiful cute animal live too. Lots of love from India.❤❤❤🇮🇳

If you don't like chilles as they increase the spicy flavour, then it's not necessary to eat them. You can put them aside, because many of Indian themselves don't like chillies. They mix as much pepper as they need while cooking. I have seen many people eating chillies with Indian food even if they don't like but they eat them because they are served with the food. Sometimes they think that Indian viewers will get offended but I tell you we totally understand this. 🎉
