Video made by Natasa from Treasure Books: File Folder Makeover - Trash to Treasure
Last weekend, I had a pet adoption event. Another volunteer and I put together a bunch of handmade goodness and had a raffle. My part was homemade cookies and a handmade journal. We raised $400! AND 25 kitties and 4 dogs got new forever homes ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
That's so adorable 😊
Congrats !
That is really awesome!!
That is awesome!
Well done... Thank you for helping Gods littlest creatures... get forever homes. ❤❤❤
I really appreciate that you recorded this on the fly, without having it preplanned. It’s always informative to see someone else’s process (especially someone as talented as you)! To witness how you problem-solve those inevitable “glitches” that always arise. Thank you for letting us in on your workflow and continuing to share your marvelous creativity with us!
i agree!
"I love it - I love it"---- so do I!💕
You couldn't have said it better, Lori! Thank you, Natasa. ❤
Thank you so much ❤️
I'm looking forward to PART 2!
Your videos are always inspiring & get my creative juices flowing ❤
I am seriously ADDICTED to your “Trash to Treasure” series! I hope they never end… I think you are the only person on TH-cam that is creatively advanced enough to teach this amazing new art form! It’s like watching a magician! You are incredibly gifted!!! And we are incredibly blessed by your gift!!! Thank you for opening up this whole new technique of impromptu creativity to the crafting world! 🙏❤️🤗
Thank you so much !!! ❤️
This is so ingenious, I love it. However, you’re just showing off now 😂😂😂😂. Seriously, you give so many ideas but could you give me just a wee bit of your brain? 😊. Thank you for posting these videos and sharing your work. 💜💜💜💜
That’s fun. I really appreciate how you create on the go. Helps me in my process to think outside the box. 🦋
I'm so glad! Thank you ❤️
I love it, and you made it out of junk. Thanks for sharing, Natasa. 🙂♥️
Thanks for watching!
Wow! That was pure genius! I love how this project turned out. And I'm looking forward to how you add to it. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks so much!
Natasha, you always take something and make it absolutely beautiful. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much ❤️
Thank you, teacher. I'm particularly grateful for showing us how to create the sturdy spine. I really appreciate your generosity.
You are so welcome!
"...An opportunity for growth!" I love watching and hearing you create something beautiful and useful from almost nothing; it's fun.
Awesome! Thank you!
This is fantastic timing, as my husband is throwing away several boxes of old papers ( going back to the 60s) he was given from a chorus he belongs to. I asked him to let me have all the dividers and folders, only problem is they smell musty. But this folder is exactly what I have to work with, and as you said, whatever I make it's better than going to the recycle bin!
Thanks for this video. Sandy
Dry rice or bicarb of soda might help. Sprinkle and leave in a sealed bad for a few days.
If you can, leaving them under the sun on a hot day also helps a bunch!
Your willingness to play is exactly what all ADULTS need to remind themselves to do! Bravo🎉. I need a junk drawer…
Natasa, your ingenuity knows no bounds! You truly are the Queen of Crafts .😊😊
Thank you ❤️
Amazing how you take trash and turn it into something beautiful and useful. You are not only correct creative you also think like an engineer. ❤
Excellent. I appreciate that you see any mistakes as a learning opportunity. Love your work.
Thank you! Cheers!
This was a very fun project. You are a paper and cloth genius. Thank you so much for sharing your great ideas.
Thank you so much!
I love how your mind works. Pretty and useful.😊
There’s a reason I look forward to your videos, Natasha…anyone who has watched this one knows! If you know, you know! Excellent project. Loved every minute. ❤👍🏻
Thank you so much ❤️
Totally Agree! I’m obsessed with her creativity! Inspired me SO much!!!
This is awesome. Especially that you did it on the fly. Seeing how you overcome obstacles is helpful. TFS. Looking forward to the next episode in the saga of The File Folder System. lol
I’m loving your trash to treasure series!!! Thank you for doing these.😊

I find myself liking your videos before I've even started. Excitement, i guess. And then i was thinking there has never been one i didn't like. Thank you ❤️
I love your spur of the moment junk drawer videos, especially your work arounds when things don't go as planned. You're a top notch crafter in my book!! Your vidoes ALWAYS leave me feelings inspired.
Agree!
I am loving this series so much that I wish I threw stuff into a drawer instead of sorting scraps after every project! This is so fun.
This is fantastic!! When you first pulled out that filder, my immediate thought was it would make a great pouch or handbag. That's what you went for, so I'm hoping that means your creative eye is rubbing off on me! 😊😁❤️
Wow Natasa you are spoiling us with these wonderful videos every few days! Love it! Many thanks ❤
Glad you enjoy it!
That is looking fabulous! I'm always amazed how you can turn a piece of junk into a useful and nice looking object. I have trouble even arranging flowers.
You are an absolute genious!!!!
It turned out lovely, I’m looking forward to next week. Thanks so much.

I am having so much fun watching these videos. I like all of your videos, but the casual ones are a fun mix. No pressure because it was headed to the bin. 😊💙
Loved loved loved watching your process ❤ Beautiful work as ALWAYS ✨️
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful project...making something new and beautiful again!
Thank you! Cheers!
I completely left the hobby of creating junk journals for the next great adventure in my life, but I will always be your devoted fan Natasa! I may never create along with you again, but watching your ingenuity and natural talent will always be a joy.
Sorry for being as boring to repeat myself constantly, but: I just love all your videos, all your contents, your extraordinaire creativity, your humour, your thoughtful explanations, your beautiful and outstanding creations plus the fun to create some treasures out of nothing. You are such an enrichment for this world of creativity - and of course for being you.
Wow from all those bits in your drawer you created a piece of treasure that has a purpose. Amazing Natasha. It was suspenseful to watch a bit of mystery of the outcome. I loved this spur of the moment project. It turned out fabulous. Thank you for sharing. 💕👍🫶🏻🇨🇦
Thank you so much!
I love how you can create treasure from trash! Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
You’re the BEST. I love your channel. I start screaming “she has a new one up” when you have a new project. My husband knows exactly who I am talking about. Thank you. Never stop being the BEST ON HERE!!!! I think your personality makes your channel fun as well as your brilliance!
You can tell You are a seasoned crafter. This turned out perfect, my on the fly would fly into the trash😂😂
I am glad you are posting more often. You make beautiful pieces of art!!
Thank you so much ❤️
I appreciate your junk drawer series and because of it, I have worked through one small file box of scraps! Thanks always for the inspiration ❤😊
Loving this series! Excited to see how you finish this one ❤❤
Yay, thank you!
I am amazed how quickly you put the folder together, me it takes time, thank you for sharing. Enjoy your day.
Hi Natasha! I love waking up Saturday morning, getting my morning chores done and then settling down to watch your video. I’m really enjoying these on the fly creating videos. And the little oops you had. Well that just makes it more real. We get to see the master make it and then fix it. And if it happens to you, well it makes it that much easier for someone like me to know it can happen to even you and it’s fixable. Does that make sense? I enjoyed this video so much. And it turned out so nice. I love the fabrics and the envelope on the outside. That print is beautiful. Okay, back to my chores. Thanks Natasha! Have a good weekend and week!
❤️💜💚
Another beautiful transformation of something other people might toss in the trash. Thank you for this tutorial❤😊
Thanks so much 😊
You are truly a treasure! I enjoy learning something new from you each video. Thank you!
Thank you so much ❤️
What a great make!!! (If only we could all craft in speeded-up time. Sigh...)
Good morning! I slept in today! Now, breakfast and coffee while enjoying this video ❤❤❤😊😊😊
❤❤❤I was just about to go to bed. Feeling a bit low, but saw a video from my neighbour 🤭I needed this. I have a bottomless 'junk drawer', too. Giving me some more ideas for tomorrow. Much love 🇭🇲💖🥇
I love your planned videos, but also seeing you "play" in your junk drawer is so helpful! My "junk drawer" system may be different and filled with different items, but I am inspired to use what I have and encouraged to believe that I can make something beautiful. ❤
Why do I feel like my junk is not as pretty and useful as your junk😂. Amazing as usual. You are a true inspiration.❤️
I've come across vacation brochures and magazines I've saved for years, and because of you, I feel as though I'm seeing them for the first time! Thank you so much for teaching us how to save our memories for our families! ❤
I enjoy when you are talking through your ideas. It is very inspiring to me. It is another way of saying, use what you have and look at things you would normally throw away. Thank you so much!
I know that I comment a lot but you are fun, entertaining and so creative and you make my day when you post a new video. Thank you so much for always sharing Natasa.
I have to say that it was refreshing to see you have to make corrections. That is true crafting. Of course it still turned out perfect. But I get to the stage of a mistake and get upset with it and sometimes give up. I loved watching you just keep pushing forward and still getting something functional. Have a junk tote that I would like to get into and finish my mistakes. This has given me some ideas. Thank you for another great video.
I love the way you present your videos, fast forwarding and still explaining. I can't watch the ones where I have to sit through every little thing, although I love them all, it's just my impatience.
I am intrigued…can’t wait for step 2.
Thank you ❤️
I like this random Natasha as much as the prepared, step by step Natasha! This file pocket thing is beautiful. Ya, saw the glue going down and thought, thats a bit too wide, but you're filming on the fly so ... bravo, you made a simple correction and it all looks great! Looking forward to your next video!❤❤❤Jeannie 🍁
Thank you so much!
Thank you, sweet lady. I couldn't sleep and this is perfect. Watching you work makes my heart happy. And tomorrow I'll look thru my scrap drawer and maybe find a treasure book waiting for me. Nitey nite.
Your creativity is on another level. Seriously.
I learn so much. Every single time. Especially when something goes awry, and you quickly sort out the solution. Looks great!! Looking forward to the pretties you'll create on your next video.
Beautifully done. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. 🥰💖💖💖💖💖👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
You can make anything beautiful. I wish I had your gift. I love watching you create.
Really enjoy these videos as per usual amazing job! Thank you!
I love these videos, and I love when you pull random stuff out of your junk drawer and create something! I watch them over and over because it gives me inspiration and motivation to make something out of the scraps that I have!
Awesome! Thank you!
When I am in an artist “stuck mode” all I have to do is go to your TH-cam page. You are a true visionary!
Thank you so much ❤️
Love these projects. Super helpful for my creative process. A breakthrough moment finally clicked in my head watching this. Thank you🙏🏼.
The good thing about a junk journal is that if you make a mistake, you can just cover it up. The more layers, the better!
Definitely!
I LOVE your video's!!! For my first projects I am making my daughters each a journal! All inspired by you!!! Thank you for your great video's, I've binge watched them all!!!! I'm so excited to get started! Up until now I've been gathering supplies and preparing paper and so on.
Happy to see You Natasha...... Thanks a lot.... Here weather very hot..... Have a nice day.🙂👍
Thank you! You too!
You are opening my eyes! I’ve never mixed fabric, trims or lace with my paper projects. The folder looks great and I am encouraged to try “mixed media”. 😊
OMGoodness its amazing! Today's Quote: "It's a beautiful day, the sun is shining, I feel good, and no one's gonna stop me now." -Freddie Mercury. Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
Wait, I wasn’t ready for you to leave. Come back.
Natasa, you take my breath away! Your imagination is unlimited. I am so new at this craft and I have watched so many of your videos. I want to make everything. I must start small. This file folder is so gorgeous. I was hoping to get advice about how to start collecting fabric. I have none and I figure I need to think out of the box so as not to spend a lot of money.
Enjoying this trash to treasure series
Thank you ❤️
I’m loving these “junk drawer” videos… love how you made this old something into a useful item. I plan to make one later today for keeping my miscellaneous ephemera pieces i collect to create/ build at a later time. All those small items can be difficult to keep together so I’m thinking this would be a great assistance.
Also love these extra videos each week! You’re my #1 channel and I’m always delighted to see you pop up with something new…
This one rolled into an older video where you’re making a “travelers journal “. Which reminded me to reach out to you on this one to tell you what that material is that you’re using for the cover. I’m pretty sure that thick plastic like material is actually Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) for applying Circut cut type stuff to t-shirts, totes etc. It’s nice for what you’re using, for sure, but I’m pretty certain that’s what it is. They make sooo many types and yours is a pretty glitter type. I mite try doing the same just to see.
I never miss any of your videos my dear lady! You are so inspiring and informative. Such an inspiration! I’ve been doing a lot of the last few items you’ve shown us… thank you for such terrific ideas… I have no problem following your instructions, you’re very thorough and easy to follow.
Just my opinion here… I love to hear you talk!! If I found you talk too much, I am in control of my remote and can mute or leave at any time I do choose which I think some people forget… so don’t worry what others say… they have the same choice!! lol
Sending much admiration and love from Texas US. 💕
Love ya, ~Bobbi~ ❤️
Unplanned ideas for perfection once again!👍👍❤️❤️
Thank you! 😊
Love it Natasha I’m always looking forward to watch your videos I don’t know how you come up with so many ideas you are truly an inspiration thanks for being here every week ❤️❤️
I think it’s amazing (as all your creations are.) I can’t wait to see part 2! I hope sweet Banjo is doing well. Thank you for sharing 🤍
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for another lovely video…happy day to you!
Thank you! You too!
You are such a creative soul! I so enjoy watching your videos, and your heart for seeing the good in something most think is rubbish.
Natasa, you are sooooo very talented! Thank you for all you share with all of us!! 💞
Thank you so much!
On the side pieces, if you want more space, just add more folds. Can be narrower in measurement, and several inches
worth. This is such a cute pouch!
Thanks for sharing your creativity. I love the random scraps from your junk drawer! Amazing.
You have made a wonderful folder Itis amazing thank you
Theola
Thank you ❤️
Great idea! Love making treasures from trash.
