Interesting you talked about that painting. When I was younger, like elementary school young, 70s now 😂 I drew this picture, mainly the man, woman, and monkey in this painting, a pencil drawing. What caught my eye is how prim and proper they looked.... but with a monkey, not a dog. Seeing it and your comments about it brought back memories. Actually, the version that Dimash did while he was on the Chinese Singer show, in 2017, I felt was better, because that version, he was giving his all. OK, not that he ever do a half effort job anywhere, but it was a do or die episode and he was proving himself and it really showed. It is that when she recorded this song she did it in front of an audience composed of producer Tommy Motola and the Goodfellas team, Robert de Niro, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta and Al Pacino. A few days before Tommy Motola had introduced Lara to Martin Scorsese during a dinner, because of her Italian origins. I was disappointed with the Dimash version you chose (don’t get me wrong- I love anything that Dimash sings, but sometimes it’s just preference.). The song is based on an orchestral piece that was known as Adagio by Albinoni- except that it isn’t by Albinoni. The lyrics for this version were written by Lara. She has co-written and composed lyrics as well for other artists and her Wikipedia page references lyrics for Dimash as well. Both are incredible artists and it is no wonder that Dimash has considered Lara one of his inspirations. You can especially find the relationship when you hear them sing the same songs. I like this 2018 Sochi version. Dimash has much better range control and softness in his voice compared to 2017 Singer. 2017 Singer is more emotional and explosive, 2018 is more calm, smooth and accurate.

Astana day 2 (14.09.2024) - it was like epic Marvel movie with totally different visual show of this song. This version was very surprising =D
Before the beginning of the song, dark dancers in masks dressed like assassins stole Dimash from the scene and 1 minute later the song started. Audience was a little bit worried at this period of time))

This is originally a classic peace: "Adagio" by Albinoni, that Lara (I believe) wrote the lyrics to.
I've been listening to Dimash since 2017 and love him and I am dependent on hearing his wonderful voice every day.
I also love Lara and can see why Dimash adores her and are so inspired by her.
I really like her version of "Caruso". Her mother comes from Italy and I get so emotional when Lara sings that song in Italian.

This is not a good video for Dimash's ADAGIO. The SINGER performance is sooo much better

I'm just SO disappointed that you chose that Dimash video and not the legendary ADAGIO from the 2017 SINGER SHOW in China! I've watched at least 10 reactors get emotional to the point of tears when watching it. It is epic. 😢

Thanl you. They sure are extraordinary artists. Adagio is a clasical melody of albinoni and lara wrote the lyrics. You should listen to her mash up with dimash in mademossaille hide . She is a bit older there so her voice is a bit darker wich is beautyfull. And her duet with johnni hallyday. Requiem pour un fou. Rock opera . Amasing.

I was disappointed with the Dimash version you chose (don’t get me wrong- I love anything that Dimash sings, but sometimes it’s just preference.). The song is based on an orchestral piece that was known as Adagio by Albinoni- except that it isn’t by Albinoni. The lyrics for this version were written by Lara. She has co-written and composed lyrics as well for other artists and her Wikipedia page references lyrics for Dimash as well. Both are incredible artists and it is no wonder that Dimash has considered Lara one of his inspirations. You can especially find the relationship when you hear them sing the same songs.
