Pigeon shit is one of the nastiest substances known to man. 30 years ago, I had a job pressure washing and painting SATCOM dishes on military bases. I would come home covered in a fine coating of it, despite the rain suit. If I close my eyes I can still taste it. They're rats with wings and I hate them.
At home we have a massive tree and it covers the front driveway, we are not allowed to trim it because it's protected so cars are constantly covered in bird poop, I have to wash my car more than once a week, it drives me crazy.
Excellent work! I rescued a PC Engine a few years ago. It wasn't as bad as the one you repaired, but it was in pieces and had holes everywhere like swiss cheese. 😄
It all depends what it looks like after that first clean and I was worried about all the dark spots so I was lucky that this time it was only solder mask.
I'm not familiar with PC Engine console, but when I've checked the specs I was really surprised. 8bit main processor but 16 bit GPU? Interesting combination.
Good work, another console saved! For a while it felt like you were cleaning of PC Engine from a pile of pigeon poo! 😄
another one saved from silicon heaven. 👍👍
