If for some reason that the item was not returned, ask your CI. Staff nurses may forget to give it back. if you have questions ask your CI. Avoid asking the staff nurse. They may give you a different answer. Trust me. if your CI wants you to administer some medication especially thru IV, check the medication first. For example, potassium chloride. NEVER EVER administer this IV push. IF in doubt, pull out. Invest in your duty shoes. The majority of the time you will be walking and running. bring your own water. Wallets and cellphone must stay in your pockets. When being asked by the patient or relatives about their condition, never answer. Politely say that you will notify the staff nurse. For example, the patient asks if he or she can eat, notify the nurse on duty. Some patients are not allowed to eat because they may have an OR procedure or GI bleed. That’s funny because I’m an official registered nurse now and every single thing I mentioned is this video I have used throughout my whole journey! Love that I made you laugh though! 😂
@@HeyItsEly haha yeah in my accelerated BSN program the most i would use is stethoscope, pen light and sometimes a waterproof shoes. But blood pressure cuff etc no way haha everything is electronic. Most people havent use a manual cuff in a long time haha, Unless their vitals are at a crazy level. I personally can't study out of my normal study area, but down times are good for doing journals and clinical paperwork etc which i do all on my ipad. So on my person i would only have my ipad, stet, pen light, watch, in my car or small backpack a waterproof shoes, and my nursing foldable clipboard (has conversions etc on it) which fits in my side scrub pocket. But then again haha i am a guy, haha

Yes. During 1st year 2nd sem in my school (during funda), clinical instructors will give the list of things na need for your tackle box (syringes and needles, pen light, betadine, alcohol, BP app., etc) sobrang magastos hehe
