I also started with a V8F back in August 2021. At normal speeds, an EUC is turned by tilting it (which causes it to turn due to camber effect). Turning your shoulders in may have the opposite effect, and that opposite effect is how I first learned to ride at 3 to 5 mph, twist arms left to twist EUC right and vice versa, for balance and direction control. At that slow speed, constant balance corrections were needed, but at about 8 mph on a long straight outdoor parking lot, my V8F became stable, I no longer had to make any balance corrections, and could just stand still while riding in a straight line on smooth pavement. It was then I learned to turn by tilting my V8F: first small tilts to see how it would respond, then a weaving pattern, then large radius turns barely leaning. I used support to mount and launch and waited until my fifth 30 minute session before trying to free mount, which wasn't an issue since I could already ride reasonably well by then. What took the longest was learning to turn well, coordinating how much to lean for balance and how much to tilt to steer depending on speed and turning radius.
Nice!!
Is Rose still around? Thx
He should have had on kneepads
