That’s the problem with having 10 watches, when you wear them once every two weeks you can’t really bond with them. I wish I had more wrists like Goro, or an octopus.
I've said it before but I absolutely love the production value of your videos. You are so creative. I bought my first Zelos this year, I swore I would never do it but I've always wanted a Titanium watch with a meteorite dial. Zelos came out with exactly what I was looking for so I bought it. Luckily I was able to get one, that isn't always the case. I hate their business model of making a very limited number of watches making it extremely difficult to obtain one when they are released.
I have my first generation Zelos Blacktip, and it is fantastic, so comfortable on my wrist, the bracelet is comfy and doesn't pull any arm hair, the watch looks solid and unbreakable, thick Sapphire glass and good value for money I think. I can's see a noticeable change in this new design with the old one, other than the new clasp which is also not much different with first version. Buy it, it won't disappoint! Mohsen
At one point I owned 8 Zelos watches, 4 bronze, 4 stainless steel. Unfortunately increasing wrist pain from Carpal Tunnel meant that I found wearing my Zelos watches a hardship. This year saw me give my last Hammerhead away to one of the fervent Zelos community. It was a sad day for me. A titanium Zelos may well be the perfect solution to our disfunctional relationship :)
@@DesignAtelier Jeez, old age is more than just aching bones, clearly the memory is starting to go now too. I'll be shouting at the clouds sometime soon it would appear :)
I hope hope hope the lug differences are an improvement - I have 5 of the 6 original Blacktips because they fit me SO well. So I'm worried that it might actually be a downgrade for me - as well as the clasp - the old one is also still my favorite of the two. But I'm still heavily leaning towards this new Frost dial with the blue and the Aventurine.
Frankly, I'd be more concernee about tfhe inevitable wearing of the scratch resistant coating. Right now, I consider it a bonus when the watch has such a coating, but I'm aware it's not a panacea and the coating itself may yet wear down in an ugly way. I don't know this, but that's a concern. Can the coating chip or simply rub off over time, like plating or pvd? I find true hardening of steel a bit more convincing, and it still wouldn't stop a pirate from scarrig it with a sabre. I suppose the scarring of Sinn's tegimented steel will be all the more memorable due to the additional effort it took.
You actually make a good point. If the coating scratches of peels off then I could see it as weathering. But we’ll see. I’ve never seen one peel or fade away yet.
I have just one complaint about Zelos in general - their watches seem to be so good, that whenever I visit their site and browse through the collections, I'm always greeted with the "SOLD OUT" sign😆 Then again, maybe it's actually a good thing - I prefer the "quality over quantity" way of thinking. I'm planning to buy soon that Swordfish with mosaic MOP dial (true no-date, as it has NH38 caliber), and I just hope it will still be available...
Just make sure you are on their website with the watch in your basket the second the watch goes on sale! If not, good luck getting one! This is what I absolutely hate about Zelos!
A 38mm would have been a killer! These type of clasp does not provide a good fit, at least on me, because of the lack of micro adjust holes to fine tune the fit. Nevertheless, this is still a banger at $499 for a titanium watch unlike the overhyped halios which deprive us of a steel/titanium bracelet
Another innovative video - like the side by side comparison using the tablet - had a few Zelos', Zeloses (?) and have always ended up flipping them (love Guinness by the way ❤)
I’ve had more zelos than non-arthritic fingers and I do flip and giveaway some. But there’s some that has stayed part of the collection. And yes share this with Guiness please. Get the word out.
Another enjoyable review 👍 . I hope your Submariner isn't still in therapy 😂 . That is the first Zelos that I would consider buying, tte case does look slimmer, but I think I saw a metallic particle on the dial close up.
My teal Blacktip is one of my favourite watches. I think oysters are the most narcissistic creatures of the sea as they see themselves as the Rolexes of the mollusc world.

@@DesignAtelier Baltic is really good and venezianico is also pretty good, they have excellent fit and finish. I would say both these brands beat out seikos , citizens in terms of build quality, I have 2 venezianicos and they are quite a looker. @@DesignAtelier Whilst I remember. Do you feel the new Artem straps are worth the increased price by comparison to the sailcloth which are excellent?
I have a video coming up answering that question
Are the indices and hands not lumed? They don't look as bright as the orange hand version of the Blacktip Frost.

Sorry same lug distance. Maybe just a 1mm shorter
Does the bracelet taper?
Yes very slightly from 20 to 18
a better version of the super sea wolf

Titanium definitely elevates this watch. Awesome strap swaps. Cheers
Agreed. Although I still feel that steel is more appropriate for a vintage-style diver.
