My mum got around the mash controversy by making Duchess potatoes. Basically mashed potatoes piped into individual portions and then baked in the oven until lightly brown and crispy on the outside. Obviously, roast potatoes as well.
Well done to Morrisons for doing a 3-course meal for 12 nicker compared to the Christmas markets charging 7/ 7.50 for a sausage in a roll. I would need a lot more gravy on mine. Great to see the lovely Blonde Angel on again as you have a great friendship. It is a 10 from me. 👍

That's brilliant value for £12! Only thing that would let it down for me is the turkey. That is sliced 'turkey roll' which is a processed meat as sold by Bernard Matthews, as you mentioned. How hard can it be to serve real turkey?!

Both meals looked very good for £12 each. I would have chosen the same three courses as Angie. Why didn't she hold on to the rest of the cranberry sauce from her first course to add to fresh ramekin served with the main? You may safely assume that I love cranberry sauce! Although it was processed turkey like Lee I would overlook that for such great value.

Vlog is a 6/10 on food qulity ,bit size is passable. Australian ppl have a thousand island dressing ,prawns in a cocktail cup over lettuce and lemm is our common prawn cocktail.
It's amazing how they can do all that for £12 with staff wages as well. Food looked great to me, would have been nice to have proper turkey breast but they are hardly going to be out the back putting fresh turkeys in the ovens all day for £12 three course meal. 9/10 for me.

Christmas looks great in the UK, sadly we do not have any festive meals here in the USA, its all about flogging crap for Christmas Day, then on Boxing day the Christmas trees are thrown out into the street for pick up. Huhhhh your meal looked Great, well worth the money.

I had just done a video on this a few days ago too & it was enjoyable, not a 10 but a great deal for £12. Was a bit disappointed with the menu changes compared to last years, dropping the paté & sticky toffee pudding was a shame. Plus the switch to reconstituted turkey slices over sliced turkey wasn't a looker either although it still tasted alright...
Definitely an improvement with sprouts and roasted potatoes this time, but no for the mash, and I’ve never understood cauliflower cheese on a roast dinner, only came across that when I moved North to Cheshire from south Wales.

On the back of this video, I tried the Morrison's Xmas dinner. Not bad but I wish I'd had the fish and chips instead. Carrots and parsnips were rubbery but the rest was okay. Can still get a decent carvery for less though.

The thing is, we all know the time and work involved in creat ng a Christmas dinner. Take the cleaning and washing up into account and it's an all day mission. The supermarkets etc are taking it on to themselves to offer a comparable experience at an affordable price. We can't expect a Rolls Royce meal on a Morris 1000 budget :p

We had the Christmas dinner at Morrisons in Aldershot on Saturday it was really nice , and the staff where great.

First of all I do love Angie if only I was single and lived in the Midlands, she is a bundle of joy. Oh now for the food it did look nice but a shame it was process turkey. The starters looked good too.

Must say both meals looked fantastic the only thing i would say is pity it was proper turkey but deli turkey otherwise id have given that a 10+ unfortunately its a 9 from me live it when ur with angie keep them coming 😊
