    Thanks Farmer that was a nice tour. I like the unhurried burble the 1200 scramble makes. Sounds much more refine than the clatter I get from my RE Himilayan!
    I've been on that cliff railway and Lynton/ Lynmouth
    A friend of mine moved to Lynton some years ago and brought a hardware shop there. Prior to that he lived in Swindon and ran a motor cycle shop called Swindon Classic Bikes. I brought a Royal Enfield Bullet 500 from him. It was the old style with seprate gearbox and right hand gear change.

    Fabulous. Riding up the hill from Porlock requires some thought as to gears and throttle. Riding down the hill into Lymouth is where one discovers if ones gentlemans parts are arranged in an appropriate configuration for braking downhill or if the next three minutes are going to be a test of arm pump. Also, the road out of Lynmouth to the west has an absolute beast of an uphill hairpin where the inside line must be close to 45%. Great film.

    • @FarmerTorque
      @FarmerTorque  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Between 2019-21 I reviewed a lot of the latest big bikes - I had to decide wether to push a full motorcycle channel - vids were getting up to 100,000 views but didn’t want to go in that direction and with falling views I recently removed all the bike vids as they seemed to affect who saw my other photography/ countryside work, which is the way I’ll go now on.
      No bikes at the moment but might….but roads are so bad and worst of all, driving standards are appalling - like you I’m debating another bike

    • @Sidchasingclassiccars
      @Sidchasingclassiccars ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree on driving standards. You need your wits about you these days due to so many people taking crazy risks. Not sure if I'm too old to hustle a big bike around these days but would'nt mind a street scrambler type thing for pootling around the Cornish contry side with my box Brownie. 🙂 @@FarmerTorque
